Having a big family is great and it does have its ups and downs..who doesn't right?! So when i saw The Duggars and that they lost baby #20 i was a little upset. I think (and with Michelle being what she is-a god fearing human being) she knew what she was doing when she decided to get pregnant again. This is just my own personal thought and if anyone has anything to say about this, thats fine! they lost their unborn child to God knows what. I figured that the Lord was telling her something when their 19 child was born the way it was. Maybe im wrong and i hope to god i am but shouldn't she have known to stop when the last child was born prematurally that she should stop having kids. because number one yes HE says to multiply but not to the extent of hurting yourself?? does anyone aggre with me or am i alone?? I have a big family many sis and bro but i only have 2 girls and id like to keep it that way! i dont think i am cut out to be a mamma of more than that but if it happens it happens!

Well If having a preemie means one should stop having children I would only have the one child, I have four. We did have some losses but neither had to do with the others being early. My sister in law had my nephew a micro preemie (born at 26 weeks of pregnancy) and had a healthy week and a half late son after. I do think it is time to stop for the Duggars. Personally once the Grandkids come from the older children I think it's time to stop having kids of your own and enjoy the grand babies. We have no plans for more Hubby had the snip we are happy with our girls.

I think that 1 to 4 children is fine, but anymore than 4 and that is asking for trouble. I think that the Duggars are out of their minds because they aren't grateful for the children that they have and they constantly want more. She should be happy with the children that she has, and her grandchildren and she should stop wanting more children. Her body is telling her to stop having children, and she needs to listen to her body. I only want 1 or 2 because, honestly, I think that that is all that I can handle, and I think that that is enough for me.

19 children?! That seems a little much. unless you are rich, I can't imagine being able to afford to pay for all these things that these kids need, let alone be able to pay attention to each one of them individually (like kids want you to!). I think I will cap out at 3 kids, once I am at the age where I want to start a family.

These days in india people prefer small family, just one or two babies only, but in old times when people did paternal profession they needed more kids to run it.

I'm not a fan of big families. I know some say that having many children is a blessing. I say having children is a decision that a couple should consider seriously, and part of the consideration is whether they can afford it and are ready for it emotionally and psychologically. Like you, I'm not cut out to be a mother of many children. I have 2 kids, both boys, and I've already had my tubes tied, so that there can't be any accident that could lead to more kids. Good that my hubby agrees.

Having a big family is a warm thing, my parents only have one child of me ,but my father has 8 sisters and brothers and my mother has 4sisters and brothers. Now in my period ,many family have one children and some have two ,of course some family still have a lot of children. It is so good news that your neighbour has so many children ,it is a warm and blessing news to have so many children.I also think that if you want to keep your way of 2 children ,it is also a good mind. I think when you are one child ,then may be friends is very important ,for people like to be with friends. My husband has 3 sisters and brothers ,now it is my turn ,I think I will keep a small family.Of course ,the friends still with me. So it is still warm.I will be with friends to play. Large family is tired for mum ,small family is my choice. I wish every kind of family happy forever.

Well, it’s true that God really did say to go to the world and multiply, but it’s also true that you must not do that to that extent. I really do believe that having too many kids would also be considered as a sin against God, for they are using the word of God as an instrument for doing too much.
