$0.83 after five years of not doing anything...

Hi guys! I just want to share another experience of mine on a site called Shvoong. It is a site which pays you to review or write summaries, etc. Well, I signed up for it five years ago, haphazardly wrote 7 reviews to find out how the site would compensate for such works. After a few months, I checked, nothing. I waited for more time. I went back to it and found $0.01 in my account. So I totally gave it up and stopped going to Shvoong. The other day, however, while I was cleaning up my yahoo inbox, I chanced upon an email sent in 2010 by Shvoong. I logged in to the site and found that there's a $0.83 profit in my account. That's for 7 articles after 5 long years. What do you think of that?

It work like triond, knoji/factoidz who done a revenue share of the article views.
The more views the more we got money.
I only got couple cent in there.
Try to make a reviews about something that a lot peoples love about.
Make a page in Facebook, try to get as much as fans.Share the link every day in those page.

I think its such a long time to earn $0.83 in 5 years. Maybe right now, since you have this money it motivates you to write more useful articles, maybe you can earn more than a dollar in a month? What do you think about that?

well i think for that amount for writing an article is really very cheap. even though you have stopped doing it but you wrote 7 articles and you only got $0.83.

I used to write articles and reviews for Shvoong about 6 months back. I wrote around 10 reviews and articles but found it to be quite inresponsive. There were no views from the sites and I gave it up after that. I think there are a lot of other sites around the web where you can get good revenue writing articles or reviews. Shoovng is not worth it. I think you are lucky you atleast got 0.83 cents.

it was so impossible get so much money with the few article like that?/
if you compare with mylot, i can ask you with your answer..

iam shvoong user..
and i think shvoong had given me more than IDR 4,000,000...IDR is my currency...
so i think maybe you must try to be better in your shvoong
of course you only get $0,83 if you only had 7 reviews..its impossible get much money with the few review like that

Not sure what to think about that but at least you got some profit right? 
I think, maybe if you could have been more active with the site and have written more reviews that were extraordinary or something, then maybe you could actually get some decent profit. But, 83 cents is pretty low. Maybe you could try other writing sites.

Whoa, that's amazing. Maybe I'll go look into that site some time. That's more than eHow payed back in my days there under the back before they were bought out by those greedy blood-suckers I like to call Demand Media.

$0.83 for 7 articles in five years is definitely not worth it I feel. I think you did the right thing by giving up that site...

Oh, are you really sure it is 5yeas long ,maybe you are omit some letters come from Shvoong, I don't find a site for so long yeas to give you the money. The site donkeymails is fast, now this web is fast too.
If the Shvoong is so long time ,may be it is not good site to earn money for wirting and review summary. Or the website is broken at that time ,or your account is not correct at that time ,there must been some mistake on that net.
Don't bother that ,there are other website payed fast.

hahahaha wery well mate wait for mor 10 yearns and meybe you can get to and a half dolar hehe sorry but i must wright this do not get mad . What is about thet site what i need to do to make earning on thet site meybe i would like to join and make treee dolar for my kids for about 20 years then they will be reacher for 3 dolar ;)

I think that wasn't even worth your time writing those articles :)
Maybe if you go back and write about more interesting stuff you might get more views and more earnings? Do they pay on views of tha articles or maybe on the ratings of the readers?

Sounds pretty lousy actually. Maybe you would have made more had you been active, but a passive income of 83 cents every five years just doesn't sound worth it to me. I think I've heard of Shvoong before but I never tried it out. The only online money-making sites that I've stuck with have been Clixsense and Mylot. Both have turned out really well for me. Not a whole lot of money, but not an unmentionable sum like 83 cents.

7 articles in 5 years...And you profited 83 cents? Did you get anything else out of it prior to that? Some places pay up front. I did an article for Associated Content and got $2 in my account for it. It wasn't that bad although the article I wrote took like 2 hours for me to write. . $1 an hour hardly seems worth it!

What do I think? You sincerely want to know? Well in my opinion, this site is lousy! You must forgive me if I'm using words perhaps a little harsh, but basically as I can judge, a good site that gives you the trifle of 84 cents after 5 years? Expose you too your own conclusions.
