Organic Milk VS Regular Milk

Do you prefer organic milk or regular milk? Which do you buy and why? Do you know the difference between the two kinds of milk? Organic milk is more expensive but the milk is healthier. The milk is from cows that feed on grass and the grass is NOT sprayed with fertilizers or harmful chemicals whereas regular milk cows ARE fed on grass that is sprayed or handled with harmful chemicals. They both do contain health nutritions though. I think it as this.. instead of buying 1 gallon of milk, I would buy half a gallon of organic and conserve how much I drink.

I buy organic milk and preferrably I would like to get low pasteurized milk because pasteurizations kills a lot of the vitamins and nutrients in the milk. I like to buy Shetler's milk because it is low temperature pasteurized and the closest thing you can get to raw milk in the USA unless you are a farmer. Another thing with organic milk is that they don't use any antibiotics, hormones, and don't feed their cows with any pesticide rich foods or genetically modified foods. Also in my opinion if the company is taking the time and effort to make their milk organic than chances are they are treating the cows a lot better and there is a lesser chance of them being factory farmed and treated poorly. Buy purchasing organic we also help the environment because we don't support a company that puts a lot of toxic chemicals into the world even though it's unnecessary.

Well, I would prefer organic milk myself. But as you said it is more expensive. But my girl basically buy regular milk. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford to buy more expensive items. But I do totally agree with all organic food products.

I seldom buy organic milk. Being on a low budget and having to agree with the other members of the family, it just doesn't work to consume organic only. But I would rather buy organic milk and drink less... as we know everything organic has many times more nutrients than generic stuff, so basically organic is not much more expensive.

Hello infatuatedbby, I love Horizon organic milk. I buy the kind that is DHA Omega-3 enhanced because my brain needs all the support I can give it. LOL. After drinking the organic milk and I drink all percentages of fat from zero to whole, I was experiencing a tight budget and opted to buy the non-organic milk. I noticed a distinct difference in the taste and found it less satisfying. So I am sold on organic milk. I would rather cut costs in other areas so that organic milk can stay in my refrigerator. I enjoy it so much sometime I buy chocolate organic milk to have as dessert! Live Free!

I honestly think it doesn't matter. I don't think there's really proof that eating organic is better. Why? We've not been eating them for a long time then suddenly you just change diet? Further, it's only milk, what else is organic about your way of life? I stopped believing in these schemes when I saw the dad of my co-worker. He lived a healthy lifestyle, proper diet, proper exercise, believed in organic, etc. Then suddenly, he had a stroke and was paralyzed. He didn't have heart condition, neither was he really stressed from his job. Perhaps it's just tough luck. But it simply shows that it doesn't matter what you eat. Self control and exercise is enough. You could pretty much save the price difference and do something fun for yourself or your family instead of paying for something that doesn't really matter. Well, that's for me. It could be a different point-of-view for others. No pun intended though. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

hi infatuatedbbby as o rganic growers will always feed people a bunch of malarky hype about ordinary milk if I were still buying groceries I would buy ordinary milk as I am not rich at all. but as I live in a retirement center I do not grocery shop but I am sure that they do not buy organic milk here either.
