My husband had some of the "guys" over to help with some projects around the house. My daughter was running around talking a mile a minute. I went to get her out of the way and I hear her saying: I am a big girl now and I do not wear diapies. Sometimes at night I wear pull ups, but they are not diapies. The guys showed the appropriate ooh, that is great, high five etc. then my darling went on and said: But mommy has diapies. They are little diapies upstairs. One of the guys asked if i was pregnant thinking they might be a package of size one diapers, while I informed that NO I was not pregnant, my darling ran upstairs and grabbed two different sizes of pads. I was mortified.

I had a friend tell me her, well more her husband's, embarrassing story with their daughter. Her little girl walked in on daddy using the bathroom and wanted to know why Daddy had a "tail." Then she walked up to random guys asking to see their tails.

Hello again I am contemplating if I should carry on with this story but I did say I want to post one so I should. I like to clear my armpit hair by plucking them off with a pair of tweezers (no I dont use them for eyebrows). I like to do it sitting down comfortably on my bed. My then 5 year old son saw me but he didnt say anything so I carried on. At one time we were celebrating Eid at a friends house and several families were there. The kids were herded off to play in the toy room and I decided to take a peek. To my horror my son was saying, 'hey look at me look at me' holding a pair of toy doctor tweezers pretending to pluck his armpits. I didnt understand the expression,'I wish the floor would swallow me whole' until that day.

Mortified you might have been but this will be one of your favorite stories to embarrass her with when she is older. I have one of those kids who seems always to find the most embarrass things to say or the most off the wall things to do. I love her and her imagination. I have had those moments and posted them on here . if you go to one of mine http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2635409.aspx you will see what I mean..

We have luckily had all of our truly embarrassing moments with her in our own house and mostly around friends.

OH there will be some in public! It will happen whenever you are least expecting it! Like I have said many times though they are the moment treasured later in life.

That is hysterical!!! (But probably not to you at the time - hee hee). Well, you can certainly say your daughter is very observant and can explain her thoughts well - hee hee!!

She is very articulate. When she was evaluated at the pre-school screenings, the speech-pathologist evaluated her speech at that of a normal 5 year olds, so i am not worried, except to the degree of what is going to come out of her mouth next.

I don't have any kids, but I love listening to kids, especially when I'm travelling by public transport. Last time to 4-5 old boys were singing Sorry for Party Rocking from LMFAO with a lisp and a Hungarian accent in one... made my day :D. Also, last winter... oh, before I write it, I must say that here, in Hungary, it's not Santa who brings the gifts, but Jesus. So this little boy was telling his mum, that Jesus must be a monster, because they say that he's not human, so he has to be really deformed and ugly and monster-like, because they can't see when him when he brings the gifts :).

I love kid logic. My daughter claims that she has monsters in her room. They are devious little monsters that hide in closed drawers, or behind the bed. She informed me last night that they hide on the wall.

I’m very sorry but I really find your story very hilarious. Your daughter really loves to talk and too much of that sometimes can be embarrassing; she’s so cute. Children do say what they want to say, there’s nothing we can really do about it. The thing that we should take care of is our personal conversations that they might hear. Broadcasting our secrets can really be more than humiliating.
