So I was wondering what everyone thinks about people writting their every thought and movement down on facebook. I used to think this was awesome that I could "update my status" all the time. But I realized how super not so awesome this was. because I get on there and people put literally everything they do. Do you think this is good, or not so good?

Let's put it this way. I have gotten to know people I knew less about much better. I know them better than I ever thought I could. Very people do I love more because of Facebook. Now I see how selfish and critical they are. Now I see how self=involved they are. I like people less than I ever did. There are things I know about them that I should not know. Why they would want me to be aware of such things, I have no idea. Many people lie about their lives. They must think people are stupid. It just makes them look bad. I like Facebook to a certain extent. That is it.

my personal favorite is you learn how self centered people are. I have people on my friends list who take TONS of pics of themselves and they have families but they never post pics of theire families. Come one really

I personally have never trusted any public social network like Facebook. I think we should be more careful when posting on any public network or else later on, some people might use whatever you post for your downfall.

I think it's boring. I never update my status and most of my friends and family don't either. Of course, I don't go there all the time, either. It's good to keep up with family and that's about it.

Well, today is the third time you comment a discussion on Facebook. As I have said to many people, me personally, the social-network, frequent it very little. In my opinion, the negative point of Facebook is the lack of moderators ready to ban those who write offensive sentences, in all material respects. Too much freedom and control virtually zero! Bad language and worse to no end. I'm sorry but I'm not there for this!

I think a lot of people share too much information on Facebook. Its a great website for keeping friends and family updated about what is happening in your life, but I don't think it is necessary to share evry detail and movement. Personally I don't want to sign on to Facebook and read a bunch of hourly updates from all my friends. Its overkill in my opinion.

I think you got it wrong slightly. In some countries the unrest was brewing, and the social networking has helped the movement to grow fast and turn it into a revolution. Now the converse cannot be true. Just because you joined a social networking site a revolution or something momentous need not take place. Probably the place where you live is peaceful, and there are no social or political problems tormenting people for long. Under such happy circumstances, people put in mundane everyday events in their pages. Be happy as God is in heaven and all is well with your part of the world. If you don't like what you see, you are at full liberty to leave at any time you like.

Well, I personally, although it is regularly registered on Facebook, I must say that I was not very frequent that site. I find in my opinion a mistake. The fact that everyone can freely write anything, including bad language and more. This to me is not at all well! Facebook should be monitored by moderators who ban should offend those who write in every respect. From my experience it seems to me that unfortunately this concept in the control of the post, there is not yet. Perhaps in the future will be checked every post written? Well I hope so!

I rarely post anything about yourself. Many people really write when they eat and sleep.People can post a picture to boast where they went, but they posted 100 photos. People start to share any song that is heard during the day.I do not like when people publish games. There are people all day wondering what to publish new.

I don't even feel the need to know what my spouse or children are doing ALL the time. So I can really care less what others were doing even those whom I am related to or friends with. The same goes for people I don't know or even celebrities. And I certainly do not want just anyone to know what I am doing either. That's why FB never interest me at all.

I think that Facebook has it's good and bad points, as do most things. It is a good utility to use if you are trying to find a long lost friend or relative. It is good to get back in touch with people that you may have forgetten all about until you see them on one of your friends' pages. It also can cure a feeling of loneliness that a lot of people feel these days. It gives people a feeling of being connected. On the other hand, sometimes people go too far, and tell too much about their personal business. A lot of people lack TACT, and don't know when to quit. They might have to learn the hard way that one should only share so much online.

I don't really care as long as it's not too much information (like I don't wanna know how long they've been in the toilet) or offensive for someone.

I think it depends on how you look at social networking site. I am also quite observant at how people post and update their status. I agree that most of them do it quite often, and most of them post really personal things on their status. But then again, I guess the sayings "to each his own" applies to this. What I find rather disturbing are people who puts up a fight using their facebook statuses. I mean, it is really not something I would want to see on my dashboard. But then good thing about facebook is that they have this settings where you can unsubscribe from people whose update you don;t want to see on your dashboard. I think I am okay with it if I want to know or be updated about the whereabouts of the people I cared for. But if it goes overboard, I can always unsubscribe.

Sometimes I update my status a few times a day, sometimes I don't update it at all in a day or two. It all just depends on what I'm doing, how much I'm on FB that day and how bored I am. My feeling is that if I don't want to be bothered knowing every move someone makes, I don't bother reading their updates. Simple. I take from it what I want and leave the rest.
