What is a good business for a minimal budget?

Let's face it, not all of us have big budgets for putting up big businesses. So if someone has a small budget for putting up a business, what type or types of business would you suggest and why do you think this type of business could give that person good returns considering he has a small budget to start it?

Your profile says you are from Philippines.I would suggest for you to try e-loading business because you can start with just a very minimum capital.Besides cellphone loads is now considered a necessity especially in the Philippines.Another thing is you don't really need to pay for transportation, storage, marketing because you can start it right in your home. You can also sell loads anywhere because of it's convenience. You just need to be careful with numbers.

True but if we look at it in terms of percentage ,you can see that your money is actually earning big.You can earn 1 to 2 pesos for every 10 pesos. That means you actually earn at least 10% from your capital. If you will place your money in a savings account it will only grow 2 % which is still deducted taxes and fees. The result is you are actually gaining 0.5%.The interest you earn depends on your capital.

Start with something like an e-bay store that can earn you money getting rid of things you already have. Then use that money to buy a few wholesale items to sell at a profit, then use some of that money to buy more wholesale items to sell at a profit. You'll always have to put money into your business, but can still earn a little from it. Or, look for a wholesaler that does drop shipping, that way you never have to order anything until you've already been paid for it.

I have a guess your suggestion here is a popular one to many, because I think many people are into buying and selling for a profit a lot. The type of item would vary, so this is another reason why this is attractive. I myself have thought about this before, and I want to thank you for reminding me of this forgotten plan. I would think about this in this coming days.

I guess marketing our products is one of the greatest challenges in any kind of selling, whether online or offline. That is why I'm beginning to be more interested in online businesses that don't require you much to market or get referrals...like Justbeenpaid, for example as you earn quite decently from your own invested money with no referrals needed to earn well.

That would be an innovative way of earning money, but it's not really easy to find buyers. I've tried selling, even brand new clothes on ebay, apart from my separate online shop, but I didn't get any sales from there.

Hi there. I think what would greatly influence the decision of a business would be the talent, skill and interest of a person. I don't think copying from our neighbors is an option because we'd just end up doing something we don't really like to do in the first place. For a minimum budget, I think what we could start with would be something in line with food. People will always eat, as it is the biggest allocation of our budget every month, but the question would be what? That my dear friend, is something that I myself am still thinking about all these years. Seems like everyone has thought of my idea and have done a good system about it. The rest of the way, is easy. Just need to know where to start. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

How right you are, my friend. I guess I'm probably hoping that someone might suggest something that my own talents and taste would like to try out. So far, I'm already giving some thoughts to some suggestions but maybe if anyone of you could give an investment that are for any good online business I would probably prefer that better. Anyway, this post is not for me alone but for everyone who will have a chance to read all the posts so post anything you feel like. But then again, if you have anything that you can invest online you are free to post them here as well. Have a great day to everyone!

Even with a small budget, you can start many different business ventures. Especially, here in the Philippines, you can choose from a wide variety of options. One can start an eloading business, without having to get apply for business licenses. You can also start up a small retail store. You can sell food right in front of your house.. there's just a lot of things one can do, even with a limited budget.

Oh, I don't know if this is applicable to your country. But, here in the Philippines, retail stores or even just at home, we can sell cellphone load for prepaid mobile.

depends on your country and culture, from where i am selling fishballs is a good way to start, capital would be less than a dollar income would double. try to look for things that are not available but in need in your area. dwell on the basic human need, such as food, clothing etc.

Fishball is also popular in my country. Maybe we live in the same country, I will check your profile :) Now that it's very hot here now, I think business like zago or ice cream stall could be good business here. Anyway, your suggestions are good. I would try to think of something that would be to my taste...hmmmm.

That's right kabayan! ( kabayan means countryman ) You are right about zagu because I remember when my brother had a zagu business, he let out thousands of pesos to start it. Later on he needed to give it up because he finds that when it's not summer, the sale is not so good and at the same time his location is not very ideal. Yes, fishball is one of the most popular street food in our country. That's a good option indeed for most.
