That myLot is a site that pays for whoever comes to unwind and relax one realises after being here for a while. Initially one does go through moments of uncertainty specially when a veteran points out your blunders and guidelines violations, some times harshly scaring the daylights out of you! As they say patience pays. What has been your jouney here. Have you already realised that myLot pays for whoever comes to unwind and relax?

Hello friend,
Some months before it is the relaxing point for me always and used to spend more time here than now. Most of my thoughts and rant would be here. (luckily my friends wont get tensed lol). Mylot is enjoyable when we find the route to get it. Most people failed to find it.

So it has been smooth sailing for you here. It has not been that way for many. I too had a bit of rough riding but hopefully I will know how to avoid such situations in future.

I know that mylot pays, but for me it doesn't pay for me to unwind and relax. I have to put a lot of thought, time and effort into making discussions, and making sure to respond to all my comments. When I want to relax and unwind I go to facebook or somewhere like that instead of here to mylot.

people can really help you and make you relax.trust in yourself

You are right that many of us come here to unwind and de-stress ourselves and while doing so, we are paid also. Nothing could be better than this.
It is true that it takes time to settle down and to understand the nitty-gritty of working here on mylot. One needs to be consistent, humble and responsive to sustain here.
You have been doing pretty good and I understand that since you joined this site, you have been continuing here without a major break.

We do come across some unpleasant on this site and in some of the cases we feel that we can not help it and can not make the other lotter understand the issue in the right perspective.

I went through a harrowing experience a couple of times when I was misunderstood despite clarifying the position but now I walk on egg shells with those who did that to me. So far so good hopefully.

Hey. Speaking of moments of uncertainty, I went through that today after joining mylot just 8 days ago. There seem to be a lot of discussions about the guidelines and reporting violations. In fact I just replied to an old one asking why we should bother to report violations. I have had a few responses deleted, not because my responses were a violation but because the discussion itself was deleted.
In fact, I appreciate it when veterans point out my blunders as newbies are bound to make them. I don't take it personally (or at least I try not to). And as far as I am concerned there is no reason a veteran should be harsh about it or "scare the daylights out of you". If they are indeed a seasoned veteran they already know how to point out blunders in a polite manner.
As for my journey here, well, albeit a short one so far I am relaxing. I like to spend a lot of time on the computer and when a Facebook friend suggested this site to me I figured why not try it out. Getting paid is incidental to me. Of course the prospect of making money is what lures most of us here in the first place, but once one discovers that the amount of money is just pennies (which admittedly add up) one stays for the enjoyment and entertainment that the site provides.

Deleting a discussion and along with it the responses/comments is a routine here over which we do not have any control specially when we are not sure if the topic in question is a guideline violation. Ambiguity rules here.
Some do have the tendency to be harsh and may be I could quote some phrases that they use here but I will refrain from doing it as I do not want to spoil your day.

Thanks allknowing. I think I'm doing ok for a newbie. I agree ambiguity rules here. In any case, I just continue to respond to the topics that interest me and if they get deleted no worries. As I've said before, deletion of a discussion is not the worst thing that can happen in my day. Speaking of worst thing to happen in a day, I think it would take more than a harsh response from someone that I don't even know to ruin my day. Thanks for the encouragement.

hehe wow! that is a very positive review on what mylot is. :D but then i will have to agree with you on this. Of course i guess this is what it is, really because most people here are just having fun, some gets a few arguments but it is lighter compared to others. =)

i certainly agree. Everytime i am here i do not think of how much i will earn.. i try my best to join in the fun, share what i can and respond as much as i can.. it is relaxing to be able to know people, learn what is going on with them and even read stuff about them..and learn new stuff as well @jazel_juan (15747)

We have people here from all over the globe, Japanese, Chinese, American, European, Vietnamese, Filipinos, Indians, Africans, Australians, New Zealanders, Pakistanis - have I left out any? We have the opportunity to make them as our real friends. I would love to have a Chinese friend! and for all this myLot pays us! I agree with you. I too am not here for the money as the kind of money that one earns here is not worth the time spent but everything else is worth much more.
