What you usually do when you are depressed?

In fighting depression, my other friends just keep on eating. Others also never eats well. Me, I just kept my self busy and kept on talking, that way i could forget things, not knowing that I unconsciously hurt others feeling. One of my close friend suggested me to relax and do less and talk less. It really works. What about you? how do you fight depression?

I get angry..cry without reason, fight without reason.. sometimes i eat chocolates or drink tea..a few days ago, i started meditation and found it useful to keep myself calm..

OOh i forgot one thing..sometimes i like to listen some music and dance on it..it also helps me to reduce stress..

I eat my favorite foods or sometime I listen to a party music just rock my mood and most of the time watch comedy tv shows

I just have to take a nap if I am depressed in that day. Usually after waking up, there will be no more feelings of depressed.

read discussions while earphone stucks in my ears so that no one else can disturb my world. This is my way to relieve depression. How was it? :)

Depression is just like an insect that eats you slowly or sometimes faster, ultimatley going to destroy you. I have also been affected with depression for a long time and that was the worst period of my life. But i never lost my patience and always had strong belief in god, and that finally helped me to overcome this problem.my doctor also helped me lot in gaining my confidence back again. Earlier many people suggested me to consult a doctor but everytime i discard them believing that how can doctor help me in this matter?? But eventually when i consult him, the result was amazing. So if you are suffering from depression then consult your doctor without doing any delay. Also meditation helps a lot in overcoming depression. And try to involve in activities of your interest like reading, dancing, watching t.v, listening to music, playing etc. and never loose your faith in god and always try harder as that is the only solution we have. Trying harder is a. Etter option than loosing badly.good luck

When I am depressed, I will go shopping and buy something to cheer me up. Alternatively, I will think of those people who are in worse situation than me to make myself feel better. Besides, I will watch TV or go clubbing with my friends.

Good day Preciousjayje, I really do not have an specific thing to do whenever I feel depressed. But the most common thing that I usually take first is to pray. And after that, that is the time I can think of a better way what to do next. I am not saying that I am a prayerful person. However, I cannot think of a better way, if I will not do it first. As I cannot think what to do to fight my depression if I will not say at least a little prayer.

When I am depressed I try to stay alone and cry a lot it makes me feel little lighter, I talk to my best friend because she always makes me laugh which I feel good during that condition, apart from that I play my guitar the most senti tunes (It is weird but I feel good)

Just like you I make sure I keep myself busy. I also make sure that I pray. It helps alot!

When I'm depressed, my mood is very bad, and I become very sensitive. It's like I'm going to yell at everybody. Usually, I'll just take a little time alone, to relax myself. If it's possible I'll just sleep for a while, and after I awake, hopefully my mood will be better.

I find that watching a truly funny show seems to help. Also if you keep busy, doing something productive, that can help to. I guess it all depends on the person.

First,i will find a friend to share. Second,i will have something to eat or drink,for i am a eat-lover. Finally,i will go out to have a journey or play exciting games untii i come back to myslf again.

Well, I'm on medication for one thing. I've never been able to ward it off with happy thoughts, keeping busy, relaxing, or whatnot. It just came back stronger and stronger until finally I wound up in a very bad spot. Now I'm on medication, seeing a pyshco-therapist, and attending DBT group therapy every week. I function again, I wouldn't say I'm super happy but I'm on a recovery climb. It's not a steady climb, it plateaus and slides back, but it's moving in the right direction for me.

I just watch comedy on youtube or funny movies. Sometimes, I would just call a friend who I have not talked to a for a long time. In addition, I would sometimes go to a chat room and find someone who I can chat with about anything of interest and this would really make feel good.
