Has anyone here tried this diet? Beyonce used this diet to lose weight after giving birth. She used it for 2 weeks and lost 20lbs. That's amazing! Its a detox drink made of freshly squeezed lemo, organice or natural maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. How do you think would that taste?!? But, oh well, it worked for Beyonce, I may have to try it, one of these days.

hi jureathome. did something similar last year with lemon. i used a food processor and mixed one medium sized pear, 1 medium sized lemon, and a teaspoon of olive oil. i used to drink only that for the whole day plus lots of water. i did it for two weeks and not only did i lose weight, i felt better as well. will start doing it again. anyway, this lemon detox diet sounds interesting so i might try it as well. will post updates and results here in mylot. anyway, here are the steps in making the lemon detox drink: 1. take your drinking glass and fill halfway to the top with very cold water. 2. take the lemon and squeeze the juice in the glass. make sure to leave out the pulp and the seeds. 3. add two tablespoons of maple syrup. 4. add a pinch of cayenne pepper. you can also use fresh ground ginger as a substitute. 5. stir well and then add another 4 ounces of cold water. 6. drink this 8 ounce lemon detox six to eight times a day for seven to fourteen weeks to experience maximum weight loss. just a couple of reminders: 1. make sure that your water is ice cold since it helps in the detox process. 2. use fresh ground ginger or cayenne pepper for a crisp, sharp taste. 3. buy fresh lemons and squeeze just before serving for maximum freshness and taste. 4. do the detox diet for the allotted time, between seven to fourteen days, for best results. 5. you may feel sluggish or weak in the first few days. this normal as this is your body getting rid of the toxins. 6. only use fresh lemon as processed lemon juice does not have the same detoxifying effect as fresh lemon juice. 7. only use pure maple syrup and do watch out for the added sugar and preservatives of maple syrup as this may impede your weight loss. 8. do not eat any solid foods while on this diet. hope this helps jureathome. happy mylotting!!!

Wow, thanks for the step by step instructions. Yeah, that's exactly how Beyonce prepared it, according to the article I read. I also heard that there were side effects like nausea and diarrhea. You can still eat regular meals with this diet, right?

hi jureathome. when you're in this diet, it is better to not have any solid foods. like what i mentioned before, i did something similar. i prepared for two weeks prior to going through this. in those two weeks, i gradually lessened my food intake and instead consumed lots of pineapple and apple juice. the juice and the lesser intake of food actually prepares your body for the actual detox. i was consuming close to two liters of either apple juice or pineapple juice plus tons and tons of water. i only had either steamed vegetables or fresh fruits two weeks prior to my start of the detox. during the actual detox phase which is another two weeks, all i had was the lemon-pear-olive oil shake plus again tons and tons of water. the results are fast and really good. i was satisfied. going to do another round by june. will most likely start a new thread and try to post before and after pics. hope this helps jureathome. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

I would never try that out then , since i hate spicy and sour food.. that would be a torture.. i don't think i can even swallow it. There are otehr ways to stay slim anyway.

Right. If you're not comfortable with a particular diet, you should just look out for other options. Just like in workingout, if you can't commit to do yoga regularly, but you enjoy aerobics dancing, then just stick with what pleases you. Its easier to make it habit if you are enjoying what you're doing.

It must be a mix of sour, sweet and spicy taste -- like a sauce. I don't think it tastes good, it should be quite a challenging job to keep up with the diet.

Which fruits are you having? I think some fruits like watermelon has more sugar content than other fruits. So, do you also consider those things?

Well this is great that she has managed to lose weight, but I don't think that anyone should be worrying about losing weight right after giving birth, as you would think she would have better things to be able to think about. Also, losing weight with a silly fad diet is never going to work, because all that you're going to do is put the weight straight back on when you eat properly again. It is a lot better for you to be able to lose it by just cutting back on bad foods and taking the time to do exercise; there is no need to be doing things like this when there are ways that are much safer.

She's a celebrity, and you know how they are with their figure and looks. It must have worked for her well. Why would you think its not safe? It's a detox diet, which means to cleanse your body from toxins.

It sounds like it might be a tasty shake. Maybe. I don't know how I feel about detox diets, they always sound so unhealthy to me. Like it would be closer to starving yourself than actually getting on a good diet that helps you lose weight. I've always been very thin myself, but I've been recommended a few detox diets to get rid of acne. Supposedly there are certain detox diets that would do that, but I'm not entirely sure that it would be a safe bet. Especially since I'm a thin person already.

Well, it may be more helpful for overweight people to lose the unwanted weight. This lemon detox drink is a liver detox diet to destory toxins in your body and thus, you will reduce weight. You may want a different kind of diet to keep you fit and healthy.

I think so. I don't need to lose any weight, if I do there'd be nothing left of me.

Is it exactly the same as what Beyonce had? Well, if the physical activities worked better for you, you should stick on it. Exercise and DIet would only work if we consistently do it.

Good for you shansavy. I will also be doing some aerobics. I think it feels healthier when you have physical activities, other than just dieting, right?

I've heard of this detox before, I've never actually tried it but my ex-girlfriend has done it and it would definitely take some will power for someone to be able to do it. When she did it she didn't eat anything for I think two weeks and along with the lemon juice concoctions she was doing salt water flushes where you drink salt water in the mornings as well. I don't think she lost an incredible amount of weight but she was already really skinny and in good shape before she did it but I think this is more of a detox rather than a weight loss kind of thing. However I think that if you were to do it that way where you didn't eat any food with it chances are you would probably lose a good amount of weight if you had some excess that you wanted to get rid of. I'd like to try this detox at some point because I didn't really become educated on truly healthy and nutritious food until a few years ago and I'm sure that I still have some build up that I would like to cleanse from my system. Right now I am using castor oil in warm milk and it does the job pretty well. Anyways if you do decide to try it good luck and stay strong even if you can't make it two weeks, you will gain a great benefit just from going as long as you possibly can.

I guess, all types of exercise or diet need a lot of patience and perseverance to get it into your system. It entails some sacrifice to succeed.

Its called "The Master Cleanse" and I have a friend who swears by it. She keeps trying to get me to try it, but I havn't given in yet. Part of it also involves drinking a glass of sea-salt water every morning to induce diarrhea. You will lose a lot of weight, but most of it is going to be water weight.

Yeah, I think I read that sea-salt water thing on the blog, too. Sounds like a really serious regimen, but the good thing is all the sacrifice pays at the end.

Hi jureathome, I've tried master detox used by Beyonce, for me the taste was good since I love spicy, sweet and sour. It is true that you can lose weight easily but it hard to handle because you will also experienced headache, nausea and vomiting. Also lossing weight easily is not advisable, I suggest to do some exercise and balance diet if you want to lose weight in a healthy way.

So it also has its side effects? But, these are organic ingredients..what caused the side effects?

I've tried it before and the taste of the lemonade was alright and the weight did come off but it is hard to stick to because of how restrictive it is. When I started that detox I seriously missed chewing food, not even the taste really just being able to chew. Also because it is just a detox most of the weight that you lose will come back once you start back eating normal.

Oh, so it needs to be a permanent part of your diet. Well, it may be worth a try, and then as they say, even if I don't hit 2 weeks, I would already be losing a few pounds, then perhaps I could continue with other exercises, like aerobics and cardio activities. That, if I don't survive the taste.
