My myLot Friends ! I Am Feeling Very Bad !

Today i just posted one new discussion under my interest "Travel" and the name of the discussion was "Bangladesh- The Ultimate place for travel".I just tried to represent my country to my mylot friend.I was just trying to represent my country in front of the you people and thought that you would love to know the different things and topics of my country.
But may be that was my wrong.One of the member in myLot named "petersum" just insulted me just doing some bad comments.He charged me whether i am a member of tourist board of my country?
But i think every person is a representative of his own country and anyone can promote his or her country.]
He asked me if my country is very beautiful then why am i living over here in Taiwan.But he does not even know that i am here for study and i with my wife has got scholarship to study over here.We are doing our masters in engineering.
I am just hurt by this kind of comment.In my entire myLot life i did not get this kind of negative comment.
Friends was it my fault that i just written some good lines about my country?????

hello himadrisaha! i enjoyed your bangladesh introduction and it was very informative about a place i do not know about...i agree with you that we are all representatives of our country, our homes, our families... you were right to be proud of your country and a positive representative..i am chagrined that some people who have been rude and unkind to you are not good representatives to you of their country, family, and this community...in fact if i were related to any of these rude people i would be ashamed...there is nothing wrong with you going to school in taiwan or even travelling to other parts of the world...that is called broadening your horizons and learning to be a citizen of the world...for instance, mr. psychoartist and i have moved to minnesota, usa because of our vocations, but our home is and always will be georgia, usa...i hope that we will always be good representatives of our home, culture and family there and they would be proud of us and who we are...be yourself himadrisaha and be proud of who you are and the place from which you come!

I am really encouraged by your words.I also think that we always should be proud of what we are and from where we belong to.I feel very proud when someone want to know about my country.Thanks for understanding my points.I am very happy now!

Don't feel too bad, I suppose it's part of being a member here. You will come across some posts or other members who may not be in the same view as yourself. But the site provides enough rules and guidelines to accomodate different views. I personally think the different types of members here are what make the discussions even more interesting. I've observed some who are sarcastic, depressing, funny, and others; I must say they actually add some excitements with their posts.

May be you are right and i also respect your view but what i think is everyone must have their own view and they can express those without hurting others feelings.As this is the emotion which is related to my country so i do not want to make my post interesting and more popular with the cost of my countries pride.Thanks for your comment.

Wow master in engineering you guys must be pretty smart.
As for that guy who said that to you, then just ignore him as you know that all of what he said is not true. I too promote my own country, Philippines, it is our home and we must be proud of it.
So just ignore him, you are smart and a lucky man to be with an intelligent wife too. So go on soaring and stay here with us in mylot.

Thanks jazel-juan for your lots of beautiful comments.I think this is always good to represent my country.Because this is the part of your soul.I also love Philippines culture and i have some friends from Philippines and their names are July,Yummy,Ralph,Allen,Chinet Morocco and i do not remember the name of other two guyz.Each and every people are very polite and friendly and they are learning Chinese with us.July is very talented to learn Chinese.I got to know about the traditional dance and your dress from a party where Philippines got the first prize and we got the third prize.
People from Philippines may be very gentle and they are friendly!Long live friendship with you!Convey my affections to your kids and a good wish for your husband.

You can always report this user abuse to the mylot customer contact and let's see what mylot will do about this matter.

I do not see any mistake posting such. It was your choice; it was your right. Maybe, there are really those kinds of guy who does not do anything good at all; they are just looking for some reasons to be mad of. Just don't get by his thoughts.
I know how proud you are with your country. Keep it up! Do not be easily get disappointed by other people; it is a sign of weakness.
Good luck with your study! I know you would be doing great in there!

been very kind, Iam hoping the two of you have had a misunderstanding maybe because of language differences.
As that first remark, he might not have been trying to insult
but just curious.Of course as I did not read your other discussion
I cannot judge, butif he asked why you were living in another
country, perhaps he was just curious. taken out of context these
words do not sound really insulting, what Iam trying to say is the user I knew has never been shown to be rude or mean to others.
If you explained how come y ou are living where you are, I am
'just hoping that this user was just curious and you misunderstood. but had you felt insulted you should have reported him to
the My lot admins.

there's nothing wrong when someone is proud of his own country. And I think, someone who proud with his country is a good citizen. However, we must understand that good intentions will not always considered good by others.

This Discussion will probably be deleted because I think the terms say that we cannot name other myLottians by name in Discussions.
That said, I encourage you to report anyone who is rude and offensive to you in your Discussions. There is no reason for rudeness, and the myLot has said that we are to report all rudeness and let them handle it. Simply press the "!" button beside the offender, and report it.
I think that you are correct that it is good to share who we are with others. No harm in that and very pleasant, too.

Thanks pageturner for your valuable comments.I just did the things which are according to myLot.I sent my feedback and hope they will take their proper action.Again i want to say that i am not in an action but i was just feeling bad and thinking that how someone can make of fun of someone's country and pass comments like that!Happy myLotting and happy myLotting to everyone even that guy who commented like this!Hope he will understand that he was bit rude.

Sometimes it is difficult to actually understand someones' tone online. Sometimes we may not mean to be rude, but it appears that way. Perhaps he meant his comments in a joking way, and meant no harm?
