We all have an admiration for some public figures such as actors, singers and so on,but for very few of us this admiration goes far beyond the limits of normality,as it seems to be the only thing which motivates them in life, such as this guy who is a huge Miley Cyrus fan: http://www.odditycentral.com/pics/creepy-fan-shows-off-his-15-tattoos-of-miley-cyrus.html It's obvious that this individual's obsession for this girl is pathological, and he has no intention to hide it as the word 'obsessed'is tattooed on one of his arm,so I wonder:how would you react if you met a person with such an obsession?Would you be able to ignore his weird obsession and be friend with such an individual?

Wow - that guy seems pretty obsessed! But OY - he have gotten a better tattoo or a better tattoo artist at least? That's a "wee" bit too much fanaticism for a celebrity for my taste. I know I have my share of "weird" friends, but even they are not that crazy. Could I be friends with someone like that? Not sure - I haven't met a person like that (and hope I never will!). I imagine people like that are me me me, because everything they do or say would be related to their celebrity love. Eh, who needs that!

I agree that the next time he wants to make a tattoo with his beloved Miley Cirus,he should pay a visit to Kat Von D or the guys from Miami Ink,they would make him at least one tattoo that he could be proud of.

I realize this discussion is over a month old, but I HAD to put in my thoughts on this. I knew a lot of crazy and very obsessed fans, fans that would stop at nothing to get closer to their admirations. There was this group, they are still around but they are not as popular, they are New Kids On the Block, I knew women who literally divorced their husbands and left their boyfriends thinking they had a chance with one of the members of the group. The sad part is, that the group encourages it. Some girls even had tattoos of their autographs. It was intense! Then there were those girls who were in love with Criss Angel, he's an illusionist/magician who is now in Vegas. Anyway, some had tattoos of him all over their bodies. Some would follow the guy all the way to his home and so on. Now that Miley Cyrus fan is just as insane, tatoos of her songs, of her face. Just like those crazy girls I mentioned. To answer your question, I reacted with SHOCK, pure shock and confusion. I understand admiring a famous celebrity and such but some fans always step beyond the line. This kind of obsession is an illness. It's sad really.

I agree, this is an illness and the obsessed fans who suffer from it need treatment before their obsession destroys not only their lives, but also those who are close to them.I think that,if it's untreated, that kind of obsession leads the person to madness and makes him or her capable of horrific acts.

How did you meet him? If I met him in class and he didn't seem to express his obsession everywhere even in class.. then I think I'd be fine with it.. but if he is always talking about her even in class.. then I may not go near him.

Luckily I didn't meet him and I hope I never will;I found that article on the web about him.Anyway,I'm sure most of us would prefer to stay away from such an obsessed individual.

I think they better not to because stalkers usually constroy fantasies, you cannot even smile to them that they'll feed their hopes, they literally think you are in love and you are an item so no celebs should be friends with obsessed fans, they could be stalkers. Many serial killers were stalkers too...

It's true, these individuals are potentially dangerous for the stars they worship;if they somehow manage to get close to that celebrity and they are rejected they might do really bad things. It seems like a good idea for everyone to keep a distance from such individuals.

Crying at a concert by your favorite artist, or buying limited editions of the album with half the salary already seems a trivial thing. I think it's the creepy fan of a celebrity. I do not know what he thought Miley Cyrus, but the tattoos seem pretty hideous. It is clear that the type is "less" obsessed. Surely I could not be friends with such an individual.

Yes,indeed, his passion for the girl of his dreams taken to the extreme is creepy and his tattoos are hideous.I agree that being friend with such an individual doesn't sound like a very good idea.
