I Got Paid By UserTesting.com!

I've only done one web user test so far but whenever one gets approved $10 goes into my account on UserTesting, then the $10 (or whatever) automatically goes into Paypal 7 days after the test...and it has done too! Now, if I wasn't such a lazy sod and managed to get up earlier more tests would come my way. As it stands I miss out as - obviously, there are other testers in the queue and it's on a first come, first served basis, so I've only myself to blame for only completing one web test up to now. Oh well, at least I know the site pays. I have joined others too but, as yet, nothing in my inbox for them. Isn't it great when another paying site is discovered and it costs nothing to join? Very satisfying!

Are you sure it doesn't cost a thing to join? Seems to me it does? Or maybe I didn't pay attention when I browsed through the site. Wait is this a spam post?

I am delighted that you have got paid on the new website of making money and it was a decent earning ,$10 each time.I think It won't take long for you to buy your bright red rug.it seems that you have to have head start on others or else you will miss out.Such a site, people certainly scramble for it.

I'm been pleasantly surprised by how lucky I've been so far on UserTesting as I thought it would be an AGE before I was accepted for a test. I have always been good at speaking my mind so talking whilst looking at a website is an ideal "job" for me, if you can call it that. It would be a full carpet I'm after, not a rug, so it will be BIG lol.

Sorry, I was mistaken.I couldn't tell carpet from rug.The carpet is fitted to the size of a particular room. "It won't take long for you to buy your bright red rug"seems to be a faulty sentence. What I wanted to say is that It won't be long before you buy your bright red...

It took me ages to find the button that said how to apply to be a user tester! Perhaps that is a message to me that it's not worth me trying! After all if I can't find that then what hope do I have on a worse designed webpage? However it is always good to read that people do get paid. I like a site that honours its promises. As the site appears to be predominantly American, I imagine they must love to have a fine old English accent. Some bizarre reason Americans love our accent! Perhaps it reminds them of what they might have had had they not gone to war with us all those years ago! LOL.

I use Safari, Firefox and Opera. I can't use IE on my computer because I have an Apple.

Haha! Oh, it's my northern accent they like. Very Coronation Street lol. I did have problems with certain buttons myself on the site. For example, the voice recognition software only works if I'm in internet explorer (I tend to use Firefox mostly) so try a different browser my friend as you may find everything works then.

UserTesting is a great site. They do have several people waiting to rate sites though. I am glad you did get paid by them. I have been a member for a long time but I have not worked on them lately. Thanks for the reminder!

I have been told that - even if I go away for a few days it doesn't matter as it's a first come, first served process, as you know. Today loads of tests came into my inbox but I've only managed to try out one of them. Some I wasn't qualified to do and others I wasn't quick enough as I'd been watching the tennis when they came in, so I was too late for those. The best thing is that I've been paid by them and I know I get more tests coming through because of this, I'm sure.

People who want their new websites tested pay UserTesting $39. People who TEST those websites (i.e. people like me) pay nothing. I then get paid $10 by the people who have submitted their sites because I am doing them a favour testing them in the first place.

Yes I have heard of this site. I have not really been on it to use it that much, but I am hoping to go back when I get a chance. Congratulations on getting paid and I hope that you have more success in the future.

Thanks very much! To be honest, I was a bit skeptical at first so to say I was surprised at actually being paid is an understatement. With a name like Lucky12 I'm sure that in itself will being you luck in the future my friend.

Hi Janey, The site seems very interesting. I am just wondering how the video thing work? Do I really have to do that? LOL! I read it on their FAQ page that one of the task is to provide a video where you share your thoughts as you browse the subject's website. Is that what you do? or you just provide written summary? Thanks.

Hello! What happens is this; all tasks come through via email and onto the site itself if you check that regularly. Before accepting the task you are asked for a microphone check to see if your voice is recognised. It is just your VOICE that is recorded over the website you are watching, there is no need for the use of a webcam as some sites require. So long as you describe what you are seeing based on the questions shown you can't go wrong really, then there are at least 3 questions you need to answer right at the end. UserTesting has the voice recognition software on it so without that the test could not happen. The only people who have to pay them any money are the ones that want their websites tested and, as far as I know, it's they who pay me the $10, not UserTesting itself.

Well, the jobs I've had up to now, I've been doing all the talking but, if in future I have to talk to website owners I'll be able to do that too, no problem.

Well thank you for sharing. I am on Triond and Hubpages but I still have to see when I get five dollars from each site. If UserTesting is free, I might as well give it a try too.

For each website tested I get $10 but I do not qualify for all the tests. I have to meet certain requirements. For example, on some tests you need a Facebook account; I do not have one. On others I would need to be thinking about setting up my own website; I do not wish to do so. However, pretending I'm booking a holiday somewhere is an ideal one for me..and I've done two of those so far.

I just joined today, i tried to sound like Morgan Freeman in hopes that they will like my voice. This gig can make earn 20 dollars a day. I wonder if they let people apply again.
