fallen asleep on the job

I know I have, but it was not on purpose... I actually rather think I blacked out at my desk because I don't recall actually feeling like I was asleep just dizzy and I was atleast 6 months pregnant and my pregnancy was just wiping me out. I was lucky and didn't get in trouble. But I'd come to persay and look at the clock and think to myself that it was a certain time and look again and it was hours later and I was still doing the same thing. Turned out I was passing out because I wasn't eating enough. Hubby's had a few people who've fallen asleep on the job when they are on the night shift. Usually the people who've gotten caught were people who sat at a desk most of the time. One person even took pictures... can you say BUSTED!

wow! that's not good if you are blacking out. did you mention that to your doctor? it is probably nothing, like you said. you probably didn't eat enough or you body is lacking in vitamins. i can't believe people who go as far as take pictures, though.

One time when I was with my ex, we were fighting or whatever and spent a whole night making up.. just sat up talking all night about everything. Sat outside the whole time too, and watched the sun come up. It was actually a very nice, romantic night. But I had to work the next day. At the time I was a temp working at a high end department store helping them rearrange their store. That day we were working in the Crystal section.. moving thousands of dollars worth of crystal around. Yep.. duh! I didn't actually fall asleep, but I was a complete zombie that day. Obviously it showed because at one point the manager came over and told me to go get a soda.

I have busted a few people at work doing this and it is funny. I usually take a pic quick before I wake them up. I have never fallen asleep at work before but I have come close. Especially during boring meetings! My eyes start to close as my eye lids get super heavy and I have to force myself to wake up

You should take extra care of yourself since you're pregnant. Have you visited your doctor? Better to discuss your dizziness with doctor, she might be able to give you something that would lessen your dizzy spells.

I have been lucky enough to have always stayed awake but there is this one man at work and his desk is closest to the window that faces the assembly room where I work. He is forever dozing off and swears he is just looking down at his computer..lol...whatever...your computer is not in your lap..lol..so I mess with him. I'll tap the window when I walk by sometimes.

When I worked third shift at the hospital, there were plenty of times that I felt like I could have fallen asleep at work, but it never did happen to me when I worked there. However, there was one charge nurse that was notorious for falling asleep in the nurses station. There were even times that she would be in the nurses station alone with the unit secretary and she could be heard in the hallways snoring.

I don't understand how anyone can not eat enough. My husband says he just forgets to eat sometimes. I have never forgotten to eat. I get hungry, I eat something. Iwould love to know what motivates people to forget to eat, or not to eat enough. I'd ather be well fed and a little overweight, than ideal weight, and not eat enough.
