July 31, 2012 at 5:10 p.m., my first granddaughter was born. Weighing in at 6 lbs. 11 oz. and measuring 19 1/2 inchest long, little Myla Noelle made her entrance into the world. I cannot believe the amount of love that comes with someone so small.
My son and his partner are beyond happy as well as the baby's Nana, otherwise known as me. 
Something like this happening makes all the bad stuff go away... for a little while, anyway.
I'm going to their house in a few hours to place balloons all over the place before they bring the new baby home from the hospital. I'm so very excited to have FINALLY joined the ranks of "grandparent".
