It's suppose to rain all weekend!

We have a festival this weekend and tonight is the parade. I hope it's not raining when I have to walk across town to work because of the parade. The other new girl kept asking if I was going to the festival (I haven't gone since I was about 12), many go as its the potato festival (and make an excuse saying its pot fest to go smoke). I simple said I have to work, she goes I wouldn't I would call in sick to go. I go that's the difference between us I have responsibility and bills you don't. It seemed all night she would brag about going to this festival, and hanging with friends until I said that. Hopefully it's not busy, I highly doubt if its raining that it will be busy.

Wish we had rain, it is so dry here; we really need the rain. You are wasting your time caring what this person says, it is truly a waste of your time.

I know a few who have been bragging on Facebook again lately and I have to hold myself back from saying anything. It gets to the point where she has to toot her own horn about the slightest thing, like saying oh this new friend of mine said I was "beeyootiful!~", or something about England and then she says Oh wait I AM going to England! Just petty bragging kind of stuff, and she has not that many commitments either, no hubby or kids, lives with her mom, not that many bills, so she can afford and have the time to go anywhere. Why push it down all of our throats. By the way she isn't "beeyootiful" either, (she is fugly, ha.) Good for you to tell the other girl off, I hate braggarts.

here where i live, it is the Festival of Friends weekend which is a bunch of artists selling their wares and is featuring bands like the B-52s. i love to go to these shows as i often get really good craft ideas there but because of the rain, i may not this year.

If everybody was meant to have the opportunity to attend the festival they'd claim it a national holiday and no one would be working. The fact that it isn't and businesses are still open means that it's only really important to those who want to attend.. etc... The fact she'd call in sick, she's not even been there that long...

Too bad about the silly girl, but you're right. You have responsibilities. I hope you have a good weekend -- quiet, not too wet -- and perhaps get a chance to read or whatever you do when it's slow. Enjoy!

She sounds like a kid. Maybe what you said will make her shut up.

Potato festival! That's so random but awesome! It would be nice I guess to go to some kind of festival - but who wants to go to it if it's going to rain anyway?
