Im running out of ideas for lunches, and I dont have much money until payday. I am making my lunch for tonight for work. I deep fried an egg roll, some fries, and now a piece of breaded chickem. I find the grease from deep frying helps with the severe constipation. I will also bring a fiber 1 bar, and yogurt\.

Well, I guess that would be a lunch that would work, but it really doesn't sound like a healthy lunch at all to me. I have been told throughout my life that eating things that are deep fried is not a good idea at all because it will make your bad choloestrol higher than it would have been otherwise. This is something that can be contributed to heart disease and other diseases as well. In the future I would recommend trying to eat more green veggies and other foods that are high in fiber as that will help with constipation as well.

I find the deep fried helps with constipation and keeps me regular. I took a fiber 1 bar tonight with a can of nuts, and 3 bottles of water as I wasnt really hungry. My cholestrolel actually is normal, I get tested every year. But I want more snacking type foods, but not too expensive. Usually middle to the end of the month I dont have much money for food.

My system is in utter trauma at the thought of "deep fried." It long ago told me that I had to keep that stuff out of my diet, and I generally abide by that. Lentils, split peas, dried beans and rice (preferably brown rice, since it has more nutritional value) are good inexpensive foods that can be bought in bulk. Fried rice, rice with steamed veggies, dal, vegetarian chili (I make mine using tempeh, which can be purchased at a fairly reasonable price, and kidney beans) and rice and beans are a few filling and inexpensive ideas. Vegetable soup would be another good low-cost option, and it allows you to use up any veggies that may be on the brink. I have found that having a CSA share does help a lot in terms of how much we spend on food. It gives us a lot of good, healthy food at an affordable price, and the money is going directly to support the farmer.
