I know y'all know i talk about my only grandson alot.Sixteen months ago his little sister was born. I loved her of course from the start but she is now getting big enough to do things like talking & a whole lot more cute things.I really enjoy kids when they start doing things. She is now calling me by name [bobo] & it just thrills me to death. She was in a restaurant other day w/her parents & brother & hollers out for all to hear'I POOPED', LOL.Told my son what goes around comes around. When he was around her age we were in wendy's & of course he spilled his coke[they always do]. I said to him 'oh shoot, t.j.' he looked up to me & said 'oh shi*, mama'. do u have any cute things about your kids to share w/me?

hi dearest Antiquelady I dont have kids so no funny stories but your post reminds me of my Grandma. As you know I lived in the same house with her so it was just a matter of seconds to go upstairs and visit. She has been the person who made me who I am today and I am forever grateful to her. Theres nothing in this world like Grandmas and I hope your grandkids will both treasure the memories you set into their lives. .......

hi dearest friend, we were at our Parishs summer party after church and they had potato pancakes. I chucked the regulations coming with being a diabetic and had some. Simply stood there with that plate of childhood memories and thought Grandma will look down from heaven now to see this..... as this is one of our favorite foods.

Good Morning Antiquelady, I love when kids get a little older and can do more..that's when they start and say the funniest things. Just the other day I was babysitting my 5 year old granddaughter, Lucy. I'm going to set the scenerio here for you. Lucy decided to sit in this little kids rocker I have and pulled it up in the middle of the living room to watch some tv. She ended up finding some pillows to put on the rocker, a little stool so she could prop her feet up, and a small blanket to cover herself with. I just sat there watching her chuckling to myself thinking how big she's getting already and makes herself so at home. The tv program just began and it was a children's spooky show which is called Mystery Hunters. It's about kids looking for ghosts all over the US but it is kid oriented. Lucy actually loves ghosts and zombies and stuff like that because of Halloween, and Michael Jackson's Thriller video because he turns into a werewolf, lol! The only thing scary on this program is that the kids walk around in the dark with flashlights which makes it spookier. I asked her if she wanted to watch it and she nodded her head "yes". I told her if she thinks its too scary to let me know and I'll change the channel and put something else on. She told me if I look at you like this Grandma (and she opened her eyes real big) that means I'm scared, and I said ok. After a few minutes or so of course, they started playing some spooky music as this young girl was walking down some dark hallways and all of a sudden the little rocker stopped rocking and Lucy was starring at the screen. Lucy turned to me and blurted out "Grandma, do you think this show is "age propriate" for me?" I couldn't believe she said those words at 5 years old, and actually understood what they meant! I laughed my head off and then she started laughing with me. She's such a character! We did watch the whole program and she really liked it...and they did find out there was no ghosts.

Hmmmm, I wonder why myLot is not emailing me with responses, strange. There's been a few that I didn't even know about. Yes, they are just precious and such little peanuts, lol! I'm actually babysitting today so I can't wait to see what new funny stories she has to tell. I have a "hello kitty" bank we're going to paint. Should be interesting, haha.

its fun when their personalities start coming out. my kids are past the cute stage (teenagers) but they are starting to come around and realize that mom and dad care about them and love them. our oldest daughter is off to college and our baby is going into grade 10.

Yeah, my kids are good at that sort of thing. I probably have too many stories to share! LOL. One time I was driving and the traffic stopped real quick so I had to brake really fast. Both my boys started screaming out "Holy Sh**".. then because they both thought it was funny they didn't stop saying it all day.

Oh my the times that mine have put me on the spot. When my son was little he couldn't do the TR right away...he would do FR instead. We were at a department store full of people and it was around Christmas time. He saw an aisle full of toy trucks and started yelling "Fruck mama...Fruck!" I thought I would die..everyone looked. I just said yes..TRuck honey..Truck.

I have just shared some experiences with my 2-y.o. son in another discussion. But what I mentioned there were just a few of those encounters. When his baby brother is sleeping, I usually tell him to keep quiet to keep his baby brother from waking up. One time, my husband and I were talking and we laughed at some point. He ran to us and said "Papa quiet. Mommy quiet. (put his point finger on his lips) shhhh... baby kyle is sleeping." hahahaha... we laughed more... Another time also was when he was watching his favorite cartoon show. and i was playing peek-a-boo with his little brother. he suddenly turned to me and said "sssshhh mommy quiet. kirby watch tv!"
