What will you do or feel if somebody send you an email "YOU SUCK'.

August 20, 2012 6:37am CST
I have applied for membership in one website offering online jobs. We were given schedule on the task to be done for one month. Unfortunately, I felt sick for one week unable to go online during that time. When I started feeling well, I tried to resume my work schedule only to find one email from the staff or coordinator of the said website with the message, "YOU SUCK'.

That sounds very harsh. The staffs must be very rude. This is no way to treat a person. I think you should contact the admin, if possible. If you believe that that will be futile, then reply, "Yes I love ice-creams. Wonder what you suck, as people who can't talk sweetly generally avoid sweet products!". But do it only if you're not looking forward to any future employment opportunities from them. Good day!

See, that's where kind people like you commit the mistake. By not complaining you are actually encouraging him to stay as impolite as he is, or rather increase his rudeness. Think about the fresh innocent members to join. They'll have to go through the same rudeness unless that particular staff or the whole group is taught a lesson once.

hmmm, I think you got a point there MIMO-Rulz-111. thanks

Hello MIMO Rulz, I did inform the administrator about the cancellation of my membership but not about the person's action. After all, I have forgiven that person that needs to survive also. Thanks

Do not work for this site anymore. But, before you do this send them an email and give them a piece of your mind.Let go , tell them how badly behaved and rude the person is and people ought to mind their language;check if they have been taught what 'good manners' is in school or are they behaving so rudely because they have been unfortunate enough to be uneducated?Just write a stinking letter to them first. In all probability they will apologize and say that it was a spelling mistake that got typed as 'you suck' instead of 'you sick'.

I overlooked one important point and that was I assumed you had informed them earlier of your inability to do work.If you had not done it, then the mistake is yours because if you commit to do a piece of work it is your duty to finish it or inform them.We cannot allow anyone else to suffer loss of face because we have not informed them. If it is some sort of training too it becomes a commitment and it is compulsory that you inform them.

Hi mangtony, that's very rude, if i were you i would tell them that i was sick and would never return to that site again. You may try other sites that pays for writing, if you have the passion for it. Here in mylot if you are really diligent in responding and starting discussions you can earn more too. Some of the members here were here for 4 years or since the start of mylot and they have been earning big already. So why not just stick to mylot.

may be the website person has committed for some work to be completed within some time and your absence would have made it difficult for him to face reprimands from others. he is passing on to you. accept it. put it in dustbin march ahead.

I know it sounds so harsh. They're very unprofessional so I guess you just have to send them a polite email informing what actually happened. I guess when they read your reasons they''ll feel guilty

Thanks enelym001, I just want to move ahead. I'm glad I met mylot.

That would make me very angry. I have a bad habit of running off at the mouth if I am very angry but with it being an online job I would probably calm down a little before responding. But I would tell the staff member exactly how that makes you feel and that you do not have to put up with that abuse from them. I would tell the other staff members of this person doing that too they probably do not know about it. For one thing that is very mean everyone gets sick and can't do things sometimes. For another that is not very professional a person cannot run a business and hire employees with that kind of attitude.

Thanks snookms. My first reaction is anger. But when I realized that I will be just hurting myself even more, I tried to forget everything and move on.

I would move on from that site. For them to take the time to send you an email stating that you suck, just because you were not able to work for an entire week because you were sick. I would say thanks for giving me the opportunity to work on your site, but I no longer plan to work with you. Explain to them that you were sick and how could they send such a thing as that. You're actually probably doing them a favor by working on their site and then for them to send a message like that. You can leave and find some other website to work on like mylot. This is a good site to work for anyway. You can work on it when you can and cannot.

There are sites that require you to finish a certain job in a specific period of time. They set deadlines. If you are working on that sort of site, I think that you should have at least inform them about your condition. It is like being absent in a regular job that you need to call at least to let them know you are sick. But I think that their reaction is kind of rude. They should have emailed you a formal letter informing you about the consequences of you being unable to reach for a week. They may remove you from their list or be given a negative rating for not doing the job on time. Just like what professionals usually do. I will be very disappointed to read such email. I think that they don't practice professionalism.

Now as far as formal works are concerned no one would ever hope for such a weird mail and more when the reason of being not be able to turn up was valid. All I can say is their conduct was not at all as one would expect from a website offering jobs. We should correct ourselves wherever we find it essential. But for such nuisances I do not think that you should give any reaction and take your option as ignorance.

I will not say any word. The course of action is to ignore it. The word is a part of an expression of some people, using street slang words. Don't take it personally.

Hi mangtony, the website's staff was really very rude. But to embarrass him I would have replied with the following reply: "THANKS FOR YOUR COMPLIMENT SIR,I HOPE I CAN CARRY ON MY GOOD WORK I AM GREATFUL THAT THIS WEBSITE IS RUN BY FOOLS LIKE YOU!!!!". But this is my opinion.I would have surely responded to him.

Maybe that task you missed to do is very important that you compromised the coordinator. But whatever his reason is, it's not proper for a coordinator to say those words. Just let it go. Maybe the man on the other line was furious with the effect of your misses, that's all. If he keeps throwing insults on you, better leave that site.

Online works have deadline and this a disadvantage of working, that if don't meet the target for any reason, there will always be a harsh reaction. I have received such mail quite few times. There nothing much that you can do about it. In these cases no one is wrong neither you nor the coordinator. Just keep such things aside and go ahead is the only choice you will have in such situations.

Laugh it off! Just do your best and if you get a chance apologise and explain your circumstances. Don't react - Always maintain the moral high ground - that way you are never in the wrong.

That's rude. They can't and should not say something like that if they are professional team. Well seems like the website you were registered into is not legit, just saying. I suggest you to leave that website, you can find better website that worth your time. Good luck for you

I just couldn't care less. Cause I know within myself that I am the contrary to what they say to me. Those people sending those emails are just trying to bring your ego down. Let those words from them be your motivation to strive more better and prove them wrong.

They sound immature. You deserve more respect than that. If I were you I would just quit. My self-respect is worth more to me.
