I bought my cats a higher end food and said it's not for their cats or they pay me. Since I have 3 cats they have 6 cats Im not paying more to feed them. They said they arnt wasting their money, so I am feeding my cats this. I woke up at 9am and fed them, then had my bath. They carried on how I should be up at 7am to feed them. They wont starve in a short period of time, I dont want them to pick up bad habits. My sisters cat will shove them out of the way, bite them, and eat about 3 x more than the other cats. I dont want my cats to have these behaviour, and a seflish greedy type.

That is my family's routine here also, always (every day!!) up at/by 7 a.m. with the TV on watching whatever it is on the tube (my brother works weekdays but on the weekdays this is the first thing he does as he sleeps on the couch and the remote is always on the table by him there) and I get so sick of having to be awake everyday at the same time. I mean they wake them up in jail later than this, like 8 or 9 I think! For once I'd just like to sleep in til 9 or 10, that would be heaven for me. It is none of their business when you feed the cats, they won't be starving as you said if they have to wait two hours, I have a feeling they are fed pretty well like mine have all been. For a long time my mother would accuse me of not being a great mom to my cat if I didn't do this or that ( whatever it was she felt like critisizing me of at the time cause that is what she does best it seems if she's in a bad mood which is which was ridiculous things. No one else would have been a better mom to them all, I was better to the cats than she was to us at times.

You are the one that is working very hard so that you are able to support yourself and your pets and I think that it is great that you are doing everything that you are for your pets. As a parent (not quite the same as pets, but I do have those as well), I have to say that I don't think that there is anything at all wrong with having slight variations in the schedule and you are right that it is not hurting your cats to wait a little longer to eat. I think really that your family just needs to get off of your back because they don't fully realize everything that you do for them and they won't until you've moved out from their house.

hi Ricki its none of their beeswax when you should feed your cats and tell them that Hatley said so he he but really tell them to mind their own damned business or YOU will move out: cats and all.I am not a morning person so if someone told me I had to do something at 7 am besides eat the darned breakfast I would tell them where to go and stay there too.You are right cats like us can pick up mean behavior and thats not good at all.
