Yoga will certainly help you loose weight if you keep in mind the following things - 1. Do yoga under the supervision of a professional trainer. 2. Take nutritional diet as suggested by the trainer or seek any dietitian's advice. 3. Make sure not to do yoga in fits and starts. Be regular with yoga regime. My brother lost 6 kg weight doing yoga, but he is so lazy what to tell! He discontinued doing yoga after 2 months and also stopped following diet plan due to which he again put on weight.

Hi Kesier, Welcome to Mylot! Yoga is a real good way to exercise. I've been doing yoga since I was about 11 yrs old. It does take time but if you stick with it, eventually you'll become more limber and it will become easier and easier as you go. If you are trying to lose weight then you will also want to be watching what you eat as well. There are many videos that could help you with yoga and you could learn in your home but I'd suggest taking a class to get started. Not only would an instructor correct you if you are doing something wrong but she would push you to continue at times when you want to give up. You can handle it! As for your friends, they sound kind of mean.

Well indeed Yoga is a very good way of staying fit and keeping yourself relaxed throughout the day. Generally u have to do Yoga on a daily basis so that its effect is more profound and effective on u. What is more important is the willingness to continue doing Yoga and not on the number of days that u can master it. With time u will obviously master it but until then u keep doing Yoga in the morning hours and feel the difference. What say?

Yoga is an excellent option for exercise. However if you are looking for weight loss, then you should try adding any form cardio or adjusting your food your eating. You can paricipate in dancing or walking programs. As for eating, it's often more about what we eat and not how much. Educating yourself works wonders. One thing I've learned in life is to not make friends with people that make fun of me. I have found that weight loss became easier when I stopped carrying the weight of small minded people. Good luck.

If you are little fat.. Then you should not worry about your weight. You can reduce your weight by yoga as well as some exercise but on condition that you should do yoga as well as exercise on a regular basis at least 2 hours. And drink little boiled water with lemon and honey in the early morning before start exercise. Try this way and see the result..! http://www.ataia-yoga.ch/

hey, it will some time. i am not sure how much but it depends on your body. if your body is flexible then you can practice yoga easily and do well in less time. i would advise you to do simple Aasan in the beginning so that your body can become more flexible and prepared for some difficult/ complex Aasan's . - start with proper sitting position and take deep breathing . do this for some days or weeks until you are used to it. - after that start with some simple Aasan and move to complex. this is long process and you have be patient . yoga will improve your overall health( including over-weight,b.p, stomach problems, breathing problems etc) and give you peace of mind. ** if you JUST want to loose some weight do jogging . start with walking , move to brisk walking , and then to jogging . you will start loosing some weight with this most possible natural way .you may continue yoga side by side.
