Are the shops/supermarkets near you as confusing as Mine? It's getting cooler, the days getting shorter,It's now officially Autumn (Or Fall, depending on your preferences!),yet there are still Summer clothing items out (Short sleeved shirts, anyone?!) and the Aisles are now filling with Christmas themed goodies..I swear they were still trying to unload LAST year's remainder stock recently! Next thing you know,it'll be Halloween stock.. What are your experiences of this?

Well, I'm still in shorts and probably will be for a while, and I wear short sleeves all year, just in the winter I'm likely to wear a long sleeved shirt under them... I'm already seeing Halloween stuff, along with the Christmas stuff.

I don't celebrate Halloween because it is not a Christian celebration.

I am noticing that as well. I went into Dollar Tree today and saw Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas items already and it is only September. I will be starting my Christmas craft projects soon, but that is because I have a lot to make and sell by the 12th of this month. Whatever I do not sell I will be selling on a website. It is getting crazy. I know there are so many people out of work and yet the stores expect people to spend money for the holidays and go further into debt. I do not start my Christmas shopping until a week before Thanksgiving.

don't you just love when the seasons change according to the retail world? my mom got her Sears Christmas catalogue about a month ago when we were still wearing shorts and swimming! i haven't seen much Christmas stuff out yet. Here in Canada they typically wait until after our Thanksgiving (which is next weekend) til they get the Christmas stuff out.

I hate that about the stores and the sad thing is that they seem to be doing it earlier and earlier each year. I could not believe when I went into my local store and they already have Christmas decorations out on the shelves. I was even more shocked to see people buying it. I was like what the heck and why and are these company's so hard up for a sale that they can do it like that? I remember when Christmas stuff was not even thought about till the day after thanksgiving. Such a shame how the meaning of the holidays has been lost for the ever growing demand for more profits.

Most years here they ship out the old stock pretty quick and get the new stuff in. Right now they are gearing up for Halloween. After that will be Christmas. I haven't noticed too much of what you're talking about here. Granted my wife does most of the regular shopping so maybe she would notice more than I do.
