Facebook.. once was the greatest innovation that hit the people of the world.. the impact is soo great, they decided to make a movie about the journey of how the site started.. but now.. Facebook..is just a normal site where some people share and post on their wall.. compared to the more exciting Twitter.. I, myself spent most of my time on MyLot rather than in Facebook..and in another hand I don't have a Twitter account.. What is your opinion on this topic my dearest MyLotters.. please share..:)

Hi... I've an account on FB.. I agree with you that it's got degraded... There was time when we'd read real status updates... Those are hardly seen now... These all they post is some kind of group info and pics... There're pics liked by millions... FB is going the Orkut's way now... I never could understand and use twitter... I never knew the 'follow someone' concept...

It reminds of Orkut... It used to be a social networking site too... It was very popular before a few years... Now, it is full of spam, perverts etc... I've not logged in onto orkut for years... When I saw it the last time, it was bugged up.. FB is walking on those lines now, sadly...

yeah right.. what a waste.. they once ruled the social network.. now because of some annoying interface just for them to make money.. their loyal user will seek to another site.. which is right now the main competitor for FB is Twitter.. but we all know that Twitter is winning..

yeah those Game requests really bugs me..and I personally don't like the notifications style-format which FB uses..

hey good topic. Well i would like to say that Face book has revolutionized our lives by helping us socialize with the people throughout the world and this has also helped us immensely to get in touch with our old and new friends. Well nowadays i am too spending a lot of time on Mylot and find this site more feasible and helpful than Face book. Twitter is also a good social networking site where u can socialize not only with the people but also with the celebrities. What say?

Hello subhojit10.. What you said just now is all true.. and I totally agree that spending time on MyLot is much more interesting rather than in Facebook..and no offence to loyal Facebookers.. for me..the feel to Facebook a long time and now have changed.. that kind of vibe is not there anymore comparing when the site is still new and fresh.. would you agree with me??

yeah I totally agree with you biztech101. But you see if Facebook starts with some scheme of providing some rewards according to the rewards than I think it can again regain much of its popularity...what do you think??

When first time Mark Zuckerberg create Facebook,he wanna make simple of data from students and they can communicate and upload some photos with that. After that lots of people really like facebook in over the world. And now facebook becoming a great social network. But there are some people who still have less knowledge when using facebook, they do not understand what for,and sometimes it was bother me.And also facebook have many enemies. There are peoples who didn't like about facebook.Next maybe people will change to other social network.

Hello tedifa.. I totally agree with you.. there are people out there that use this service for the benefits to themselves.. they might use it to gain private information on someone as it is very easy to gain it.. criminals also can stalk they prey on this kind of site.. there are many cases involving people are exposed to fraud on this kind of network which means that it is not safe..

Hi tedifa, whatever you said I totally agree with you.but you know the Winklevoss brothers are the main creator of FB. They had the first idea of creating such a social networking site. Since they didn't know very much about programming they called Zuckerberg for the creation. Zuckerberg 'stole' their idea and created Facbook. The Winklevoss brothers who are known for rowing, fought a case against Mark for stealing their idea. Atlast, the Cameron and Tyler received a payment of 65 million dollars and signed a non-disclosure agreement. This is the truth behind Facebook. If you get time just watch 'The Social Network' it will give you a clear cut idea about Facebook.

I didn't have twitter account myself. i spent average 20 minutes on facebook everyday, liking friends post, pics, and checks on what other is doing lately. Then i spent average 1 hour per day on mylot. so i think, i'm not losing much. twitter did sound cool, but i prefer somewhere i can wrote word as it is, not as some short forms that even i can't read.

yeah.. I agree with you.. In Malaysia.. the trending of Facebook is going down.. Twitter is the new FB.. all my friend have an account with Twitter.. and I would watch they tweet everyday.. I don't really the idea of tweeting as it is the same with updating status.. but the content is less.. and they really enjoy this type of socialising.. which I don't really understand.. I only spend on Facebook for a couple of minutes.. I usually just put in on the background and I would just surf through the internet while my Facebook in on.just in case if my friend is online or there are new notification.. Online with Facebook is just fun as it used to be anymore.. I would rather spend my time here on MyLot rather than Facebooking.. which at least I could increase my income.. :)

yeah you are right.nowadays FB has became quite a boring thing. It attracts the attention of the new comers but as for the old it has lost its charm..I think it can again come back to glory if it uses a scheme like myLot..what do you think??
30 Sep 12
Hi biztech101, yeah you are right but you see to retain the popularity, FB can do anything because recently they have started to sell share also so you can get the idea that if they loose the popularity then....

I have only spent a very short period on Facebook and soon discovered that it was not for me. A work colleague retired last year and spends most of his time in Spain, so since I live in the United Kingdom it seemed that Facebook would be a great way to stay in touch. I registered and took a little time to set up a basic outlay then teamed up with him as a friend. This was fine for a while, then someone from work sent me a friend request. It seems that because I accepted I automatically appeared on his page and I received several other requests. I had not realised that this would mean that all the casual chat between these people would appear on my page, so soon I was finding that the page was covered with small talk. I would not have minded but it made it harder to keep track of the person that I had joined to stay in touch with. Very soon I found that I was inundated with friend requests from people who I speak to on the telephone at work but do not really know very well. If this is how people wish to use Facebook then I have no complaints about it, but it did not really appeal to me so I simply closed the account. I think that it could be a very good site, but the current way it is used does not suit me.

Hello Asylum.. thanks for sharing your opinion about this.. Facebook is more on social..means meeting and do stuffs online with your friends.. if you just want to stay contact with one or more person.. I would suggest you to use Skype.. this way you could maintain your relationship very well because you can message, call or even video call your friend/s.. Happy MyLotting.. I hope this helps..:)

To be honest I've only really used Facebook over the last two or three years, I don't like Twitter, so for me Facebook is the preferable one to use, the reason why I like Facebook is because of the games, Zynga, I use Facebook to access Cityville and Castleville etc. I do occasionally post on my wall. I only have a very small group of friends on my facebook account. I do find Facebook varies on how slow and buggy it can be dependent on what browser I use, it seems to work best on Chrome, although I have to continually clear out and refresh my cache.

Right now I'm only using Facebook since I don't have any other account.. Most of my friend have other account in Twitter and other sites.. which is I don't really prefer to do that as these social sites need you update and manage it often.. which I don't really have the time to do that.. that is why I stayed on using Facebook to check updates on my friends or even chat with them.. but that just it..there's nothing more interesting to do in Facebook rather than that.. that is just the main thing why I stay with Facebook..

hello ajithlal, facebook used to be fun and exciting.. but now everything has changed on facebook.. even though there are still many people use facebook.. but I think that number is going to decrease.. there are many more exciting social sites rather than facebook.. maybe that's why people are changing away from facebook..

nowadays I am so bored with facebook. And I even forget to log in the pages for a couple of days. Now I can not find something interesting rather than some photos of my friends. I just hate some apps. One thing is that we can have a touch with our old mates there.

That the same goes to me also.. my usual activities upon logging in FB is just.. checking the notification.. look at the status updates.. chat with friends if they're online.. after a couple of minutes.. log off.. the usual routine is so boring compared to here..in MyLot.. here you have something to do.. look for interesting discussion and respond to it.. which is I really enjoy right now.. I would spend like 5 minutes on FB but in MyLot.. I wouldn't even notice that I've on this site for hours.. the time just flies, you know..

Critics will come and go, but the truth is Facebook is a revolution. And still it is a very popular site i.e. till date. No matter how much time we spend on it. I guess many of them will agree that via Facebook they have got in touch with their old friends around the world. Coming to craze for FB, may be it has come little down. That is true in case of everything around the world and nothing special about FB.
