MyLot is for meaningful and good quality DISCUSSIONS. It is not a place to showcase your ability in creative writing merely for the sake of it. Even if you posted a story with a view to discussing it, it is likely that if would be far too much for most people to read (the best discussions here are usually those which don't require that responders spend more than a minute or two reading the description and where the aim of the discussion is clear and descriptive. If you want constructive criticism and help with your writing, there are many sites which are devoted to this and which would be far better places than MyLot.

I agree with owlwings sir there are many sites for showing article writing here we can share our thoughts, sad incidents, funny incident, etc. This site is not article writing site but discussion site. Copy and paste is not allowed here but if you want to write story then write in short and meaning manner so the mylotter will take interest to put their views on it.

I haven't done it .. But i myself think that its not a bad idea.. I love reading stories.. Will it be a romance story ? Or another genre ? But i don't know if mylot will or will not delete your post .. Because what we must post here is only discussion, not stories..

Okay. Then probably this idea is not that good on MyLot. Well, I haven't think of a story anyway. Just having this idea. That's all. :)

I think you can write an extract of your story in a post and ask MyLotters what they think about it. There should be a discussion. If you want to share complete stories and don't care if people steal them, you can consider creating a blog on wordpress or blogger, or host your own one.

I guess in wordpress, you might find a plugin that will prevent people from stealing your stories.

I think for stories, you would do better on some of the other sites geared more toward longer posts, like Hubpages for instance. You could also give Helium Content a try. They have a creative writing section. MyLot is more for discussions rather than posting stories. Good luck to you in your writing.

brainstorm your stories on here and ask for peoples opinions on if the theme of the story sounds good. I am thinking of writing stories too, a few short ones and making it into a book to sell. or write a story and put a part into an interest as a discussion.

Well, it is definitely not a bad idea :D I never gone through the other features of mylot other than the discussions. Maybe you can post blogs here since there's an option blog in the site. Then write the summary or the plot of your story as the discussion and give a link to your blog to see the full story ^u^

As the lotters above said, MyLot is about discussions. So why not a story? If there is anything to discuss it should and would be allowed. Now how to make a story into a discussion is entirely upto the starter of the discussion. But still there is a risk involved as many a times the story migth be a joke or even a puzzle kind of thing which is not allowed here. So in case you have plans, you have to be careful and of course you need to make them a discussion kind of thing.
