http://michellemalkin.com/2012/10/05/question-obama-teleprompter/ Most people believe it was unfair. How is he expected to memorize an hour and half debate?

Obama shouldn't need a teleprompter, he knows what he stands for and shouldn't have to read it off to us. I don't agree with what he stands for, but he should speak for himself and not let others speak for him by writing all his answers onto a teleprompter.

the question was meant to be funny. There are no teleprompters at debates. kind of defeats the purpose

In the debate you are to talk about your positions and ideas. Gov. Romney won because he had a vision of what he wanted and a philosophy of how to do it. President Obama wants the power but does not have a real vision that he believes in. He wants everything to be fair but what is fair. As he puts it he wants every one to contribute equally except the rich they have to contribute more and the minorities should contribute little or nothing and get enough to make them more like the working class that earns a wage and pays taxes. But he can't say that because the American people will not buy it. As to using a teleprompter how do you put the answer on the prompter if you do not know the question.

...when they start having the questions ahead of time, that's when it's pretty much over! (Surprised no ones calling for that! yet)

Actually, they do already get the questions ahead of time.

Obama couldn't compete, he had talking points that were drilled into him and that was all he could say.

Well Romney didn't have a teleprompter either and it didn't seem to bother him. The whole point of a debate is to be able to speak about your position without the aid of speeches written by others.

And that's a good thing! Who wants to hear all their tired old talking points!! I know I wouldn't bother watching if they could rehearse their answers!

This was funny because there are no teleprompters at debates. They can't even have notes....

Totally unfair! But I love the video. I finally found the Alabama leprechaun's spectator's father. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZfyrIPw3wY

OMG! WHATEVER! Oh, well, I don't care. I just wanna know where da gold at! But that guy at the beginning of the video--the "To me, it look like a leprechaun to me. All you gotta do is look up in da tree" guy--is the son of the guy in your video who appears around the 1 minute mark. It's uncanny.

Ha ha. Glad you're amused. Believe it or not, you don't use teleprompters for debates. President Obama knows how to debate. Just like a football game, sometimes great teams lose. Obama wasn't on his A game. Or perhaps he wanted to draw Romney out since we hardly knew what his views were. Before the debate, all we heard from him was anti Obama stuff. Now we know he flip flopped on some things like Obamacare he had said he would get rid of which now he won't get rid of all of it. Now we know that the vouchers would only be for the age 54 and younger. He's quite a fish out of water.

Romney just repeated what he has been saying. I think people just chose not to hear him. He didnt give any new info. But Obama kept saying Romney hasnt given specifics, so people believed that. Romney and Ryan have said over and over that their plan would NOT affect anybody 55 and over.

He's had four years of the press giving him a pass on the tough questions and he's skipped most of his security briefings, he's not allowed ANYONE in the White HOuse to cross him....he's gotten flabby and spoiled. LOL He's full of air. An empty suit. A puppet for the puppet masters.

RobtheRock I think Obama knows how to debate too..but he sure was off in this debate. I doubt it was for any magnanimous gesture — like drawing Romney out...I think he was just off his A game and it could be for any number of personal reasons.

laglen I agree with you..LOL anyone who claimed Obama should be allowed the use of a telepromter during debates just isn't thinking straight or is truly clueless as to what constitues a debate
