Waiting for your reply

Sometimes I come across some really nice discussion and I respond . I then wait for the discussion starter to reply , because I really want to know what they think . Have you ever waited for a particular person respond because you find their discussion interested ?

Yes i have found this happening pretty often. I have made similar topics last month that got a lot of response and I tried hard to get back to everyone and encourage participation! This is what we are here for, participation, not posting. Those topics probably got very little or NOTHING because they had not come back to discuss. This is the sad part about this big site, so many don't understand this concept.

I don't understand it much myself. I know sometimes I accidentally find some older topics that got brought back up and then I know those won't likely have a response from the author. but I also find some that are posted just that day and my comment is fresh also and i never see the rsponse from that author. Its a little disappointing.

Yes I completely understand those , whenever I come across a old topic , I still make a respond and be on my way because I know that it is unlikely that the person will reply back . When the topic is new and the author gone missing or just going around making other discussion without replying to previous one I am confused .

I have gone back to some posts looking for the poster to resond back only to find they did not respond to anyone. so,I just continue about my day and check back later and they still have not responded. so the next time they post i try again and after that I will just pass their stuff by. I know it is very hard to keep up with everything and reach out to everyone in one day. but there should be some kind oc activity on the post. on my posts I often go back looking to get a nother response only to find they only left me to talk to myself. but after getting a hater on my posts. I would rather them not respond then to try and ruin my day on my favorite site.

I wonder why the dont respond but continue to make new discussion anyway. You are absolutely right , even though it may be hard to keep up with everyone at least do some kind of activity on the post you start . Yes when you come across rude people that may just set out to cause trouble , I would also rather they not respond and save me the drama .

silverfox I think a lot of th em still feel and wrongly that our responses are paid t them so they make a huge number of discussions and do not return to them then they b.i.t.c.h. to the admins that they are not paying them for all these discussions and they leave.sad when making comments back really does pay well for the discussion maker. and gifts I feel bad that you have a hater, we just do not need haters here in m ylot we are all friends and its a place to relax in without that kind of crap.

Yes maybe that is what they really believe lol I would understand newbie making that mistake but how can a person reach 100 respond and not realize that .

and sometimes, you do get a response, but from another mylotter, not the author of the discussion, so you end up interacting with them instead, because the author never came back. in the process, you met and exchanged views with someone you haven't encountered before, plus both of you earned while doing so. :)

True sometime it is another mylotter that decide to fill the gap because the author never came back . Well at least you earn and if someone else and you start to interact then they earn and the discussion get to really go on because its a shame to see a discussion that catch your interest go to waste .

I have had a lot of fun with what you've described! Its good to recommend this because some members don't realize this is perfectly fine and you can also earn like this as you said. At first when joining i was shy to do this now I don't mind at all and if I think i can have some fun or contribute with someone I will do my best even if it is not my own topic.

Yes if you find a interesting discussion and you want reply to anyone respond you should .I notice this from a friend on my list and I think he is real smart he replied to almost every respond on a discussion . I was also shy when I first started on mylot but not so much again.

Yes, I have and sadly, I get disappointed sometimes. I wonder why some lotters just don't reply back. Sometimes, I get even more frustrated when I go back to the discussion and see that other replies were replied to (even those made after I made my post). It feels like you got snubbed or something, or that your post was not worth his or her time. Although, of course it is up to him or her whether to answer you back or not.

I dont see the point of starting a discussion if you cannot reply , even if they are busy its OK to make couple day pass but at least revisit sometime and reply back . If I dont have the time to follow up on a lot of discussion I would not start so many at one time . I have seen that happen to me , people get replied to and I was ignore . Whenever that happen I just dont reply to that person again because they dont care for hat I have to say . Sorry you experience that also , you know they could at least say "thank you " . Yes its up to the person to reply if they want but if they dont its their lost in more ways than one .

I simply do not understand why they are doing this to us. There is one particular user whose topics I really like but now I have decided not to respond as the user will only comment on one or two responses and ignore the rest. And yet that user has a 10 star rating!!!

Well that is the worse , the ones who chose certain people to respond to . I dont see why ignore certain people respond and yet call it a discussion . I dont understand how that person could get that much rating for ignoring certain people . Whenever someone ignore me and if I remember that person I will just avoid their other discussion .

Th worst is when yours happens to be the only response that has been ignored, specially when you thought that yours was a well researched response and perhaps deserving a BR tag!?

Lol yes that would make me , especially when I put a lot into it and even go back to check because it interest me lol and only see I was the only one ignore .

Yes, I always wait for the discussion maker to comment back. I know that we are all busy here so sometimes replies are a bit late. That's fine with me. If they don't reply, it's also fine with me. At least, I was able to give my answer. However, it's much better if we'll receive some feedbacks. It will make us feel better and happier. Happy mylotting.

I wait on certain discussion maker to reply back , because I may like their argument and want to interact more but sometime they never show . Yes sometimes replies are late and I am also fine with that but they should make the effort to at least reply back before starting a new topic . Yes the feedback will at least let you know if you help or if they want more detail or something . Yes at least you were able to give your answer and you will still earn regardless. Have a great day .

Yes, I agree with you. The email notifications aren't available yet. So I am checking one by one the discussions I've commented to and the discussions I've started. I'm commenting back to all of them. I hope I can't finish replying to all of them but I guess it's endless. LOL. Yes, comments are also important to me. I also want to hear from them. Have a great day, too. Thanks for the comment.

Yes I have, but it can take quite a while and there are also occasions when you do not get a reply. Some members do not maintain their discussions at all, instead they simply post one and spend their time creating others to post. This is often noticeable quite early because if no responses get a reply with a day it is likely the case. Even when responding to a discussion submitted by a member who does maintain the discussion, it can still be a long wait. With a sufficient number of responses before your response the poster could have a lot to work through before reaching it.

I dont understand why they would start other discussion and they are not even finish with the others ?? It puzzled me , I would understand if the discussion is old and they dont notice a new respond that is fine with me . Yes sometime not everyone have the convenience of using the net at home so they may not be able to reach your respond , that is fine as long as they dont skip over yours lol .

Well, I do not write a lot of discussion, but the few that I write, in fact I expect various comments of other users, to find out their views on a particular topic. Unfortunately happens sometimes (but this is very rare) that no one answers my discussion maybe it would not be of interest, but for me it is not a big problem. There is always some interesting topic for everyone.

I dont have a lot of discussion also , most of my activity here is responding to others discussion . I am more able to manage what I do this way . I dnt want to start a discussion and not able to reply so I only do when I am around the PC and know ill be here for a few hours good. I think what you mention happen to all of us here, but its ok because we have as you say a lot more topics to chose from .

I did. I just commented in a comment, so obviously, it would not be in my responded list, so I dont know where to find it now, I cant even remember the subject and who posted it. Gotta search later.

I have encountered a few mylotters who really doesn't response to others. Some also has the habit of selecting boxes or comment that they want to respond with. Maybe they are too busy offline, but I just hope they will take sometime to comment back to all responses before starting a new topic again.

Jaiho I agree , its best not to start a topic if you never even reply back to the old one . I think some may believe they earning even if the dont respond . Its best they start setting up a schedule , we will all understand if they note it somewhere saying they are only here certain time . Have a nice day

Oh, I have when I was starting here. But then when I cannot reply to all my discussions also because I was caught with other responsibility, I eventually understand why others don't come back. We all have our reasons but I am happy to reply to those who responded to my opinions.

Hi silverfox! This time, before I make response to the discussion of my friends, I would see to it that I have responded to those who responded to the discussions that I have started. Have a nice day!

That is a good plan , that is how I try to do also . I try to at least respond to my own discussion then I go participate in my friends discussion and I also visit people that respond to my page . Have a nice day also

hahahaha. Actually I started a discussion and I thought before I don't have to reply because someone has posted a comment already and I thought I earned though not replying because it was my post until I did not get anything at all from my earning and so I asked. Then I just found out that to be able to earn you need to reply to comments. Poor me, if I haven't have asked I'd be very disappointed with mylot. hahaha Good thing mylot peeps has informed me and now I try to reply to that comment the possible I could. I try to make if several lines too because they said you earn more with that than just a few liner reply.

Yes its understandably when your are new and its common assume that we earn by just starting a discussion and not replying to it . I put it to the test and that is when I realize because I never read the FAQ when I was new. It was a good thing that I made a habit of replying to every discussion respond I start . That is the only was you will earn from your discussion , what they reply the earn not you . Yes when in doubt ask by making a discussion , ask one of your experience mylot friends or go straight to the source FAQ . Yes the more descriptive you are the more you earn, so mentioning maybe something about the discussion help than a person replying that have nothing to do with a discussion . So be descriptive and reply with as much sentence as you can for better earning . happy mylotting .

hi silverfox yes I have and when they commented back i was one happy camper. I have had the miserable experience of my response not being commented on or any of the other responses. so I have started a list in my mind and those I just darned well do not respond to as they do not come back and comment on our responses at all.I have a lot of wonderful mylotters who do come back and respond rather comment b ck on my response. its makes it a real discussion that way. I can understand if the starter makes comments over a couple of days as most have jobs but to not comment at all to any responder is ru de to say the least.

hi hatley Yes I am also happy when I get a nice reply , because I was looking out for it lol . I feel we all have gone through that miserable experience that make you have to wonder if you scare the discussion author or something . Its a good thing that we have more wonderful mylotters that reply back than the ones that go missing. Yes its ok if the person that start the discussion cannot reply immediately but make it for the weekend or at least sometime in the month . Thank you for stopping by
