Discrimination among Filipinos outside Philippines

I'm watching GMA7 show 'hot tv' and i'm alarmed about racist and discrimination to a Filipino Dindi Gallardo of her employer's girlfriend. If i'm not mistaken it's part of her job to communicate or talk to that girl. That girl, actually i didnt get her name discriminate ms. Dindi. She hates the way filipino talk english and ms. Dindi recieved verbal, emotional and physical abuse. As filipino I support ms dindi's legal action about that racist girl. I really hate people who discriminate Filipino without any valid reason.

I guess the other girl (the accused) is jealous of Ms. Gallardo, that's how I see the situation. We knew that Ms. Gallardo is a beauty title holder and she speaks English so well- so, the insult doesn't justify- but, the other girl is intimidated of Ms. Gallardo who is a beauty and brain. I think that girl sees Ms. Gallardo a prominent rival so she tried her best to kick her (Ms. Gallardo) out her way

I so agree! I think that girl is oozing with insecurities. I hope Dindi will pursue with her case and put that girl in her rightful place. We are not a violent lot, but we are not cowards either and we know how to respect ourselves.

Obviously she's real jealous with ms. Dindi. Yet she doesnt have any right to discriminate ms. Dindi a filipino, it's like discrimination to all filipino. We all know most filipino especially beauty and brain filipino are real good english. Hate what that girl did to our co-filipino.

With the Beauty and Brains, but i don't know she got the stomach to remain there for so many years. some one should have found out and let know of the authorities regarding her situation. they are so lucky that A BEAUTY AND BRAIN was able to work in comic book industry! no beauty pageant woman would ever go to something like that if they're gonna get beaten anyways.

If you could give us a link, that would be very much appreciated. I wanted to know what really happened and all that has been said and done. Anyway, whatever it was, being discriminated is really not good. They should put themselves in the shoes of those they are discriminating. I'm sure they will not be happy nor will feel comfortable with it. We have the right to walk freely in this world as long as we have done nothing wrong in that specific place.

Maybe that girl have a bad experience with a certain Filipino. Instead of apologizing and ask pardon to repeat again the name, she insulted Ms. Dindi. I don't like people also who discriminate us specially those people who are uneducated countries. I experience that when I was working in Saudi Arabia. I fight people who tell bad about us.

I didn't get to watch the show you were referring to, and because of that, I couldn't comment defending Dindi, I might become biased. I know for a fact that Dindi was a beauty queen, but aside from that, I do not know her character nor have I heard her name for ages. But I am familiar of the scenario you were discussing. Racial discrimination is a disease that would never go away, so long as there are people who would allow themselves to be condescended and discriminated upon. It has taken a long time for the Filipino to prove what we are worth. Yet the world recognizes us now for what we are worth. How many movies referred to our people, even if negatively, or tv shows, like Ellen de Generes, quite positively, because whether the world likes it or not, the Filipino had affected them somehow. Just take for example the heir to the British throne, Prince William loved his nanny Lily, and she is Filipino. Tagalog is now a language Caucasian children speak, because their househelp, Filipinos, speak to them in the language. What I am saying is, I don't speak American English or British English, but when I speak English, the Americans and the British understand me well enough.

yes, it is really hard to hear news of Filipinos being discriminated abroad..or even here.. If we were just rich then there would be no need for Filipinos to go abroad and risk their lives.

Yeah heard about it as well and just saddened by the fact that there are people who are still quite not over on discriminating other races. I guess Dindi is on the right track on in here and I hope that she wins this fight of her.

Hello tinetine, This is nothing new, but i am disappointed with the writer, if she respects MS. Dindi Gallardo here, she never would have gone through such abuse. that crappy woman from hell should have just do her role as her writer's boyfriend instead of trashing the staff who is obviously dedicated person. kimberly cox should go to jail and have rehabilitation instead, she's nuts for all i know.

I know it's really hard to see or hear a fellow Filipino who is a victim of racist, discrimination abroad. I learned the story of former actress Dindi Gallardo who is a victim of discrimination, abused physically and emotionally. my support and my prayer goes to her, not only her but for all the Filipinos out there who are maltreated.
