Beauty contest requirment

This smells like yet another instance of sexism. Now really knowing a female contestants measurements are annoying enough. The whole thing is such a ludicrious crock of crap...all it is saying is that you have to be total perfection of gorgousness to be in the contest, yeah, I know...that is why they are called "beauty contests" but if you are that beautiful..seems to be you'd be at least a little smart and realize there is a whole lot more ways to use your beauty to get ahead in life or get what you want a whole lot faster and more often than a stupid contest in which dozen other women of same are competing against you....go where you have no competition and rack in the rewards!
And since these are the only kinds that are "allowed" to be in the "Miss...this or that" contests...just says that they dont' care about what's on the inside..just the outside and a less than beautiful woman is nothing...only means they that sponser such an event are se(x)-ists and of no use to anyone and those that participate are just to stupid to know that their beauty can do so much more for them if that is the only thing they care about.

There's a definition of a specialist that I like.."Someone who knows more and more about less and less"..they're focussing on the tiniest of details...
Whoever's running these contests are defining the standards to exclude what they don't want..Beauty is not defined with a tape measure and is not appreciated in the same way!

Thing is...you can't control measurements that well! how far those two things are apart...you can't change or alter that so why make it a requirement! I guess they expect us to believe that 10 inches apart is prettier than 11 inches apart! What I have to wonder is why women put themselves through this disgusting torment! Don't they have any more pride in themselves than to enter such a stupid thing????

Are they now trying to standardize the statistics of these contestants? Physical standards of beauty are already being applied in these competitions..where does it end if measurements are being taken into account? Are contestants ALL going to have to have the same stats of a Barbie Doll to compete?

If my memory serves me right, pageant girls only dresses in swimsuits, gowns and dresses, they don't show their areolas and nipples. How the heck nipple distance became part of the contest. There is something fishy about this. Pageants don't have a topless portion. Why judge something that is not meant to be seen.

Well, I've always known that I don't really care for beauty pageants because there is far more to life than just what we look like on the outside. However, I even think that this requirement when it comes to the distance between the nipples is really taking things too far. I mean even though the girls in beauty pageants are clad in only a bathing suit, we aren't seeing these girls naked so what difference does the nipple distance really make in the grand scheme of things.
