it still shocks me.. I know, some people don't believe in God but those people can still say it respectfully and not belittle those who do believe in Him. Well,i was just reading posts from a site arguing if the Bible is true. And there were these fee wguys who believed it is true and explained and then all the others just bashed (not literally though) on them. Not even listening and being rude.. Everyone should just respect each person's opinion..

yeah i do agree with you on this. sometimes people are too nosy they tend to ask anything and everything! i guess that is what others are and well we would just lose our temper if we try to interact with childish people who can't seem to understand.

Yeah., i read some posts that other people just respond to the person trolling, and not the original poster since he or she might be tired of responding to a rude person. Even i would stop arguing since it's pointless.

I'm always shocked when I come across people who can't discuss something without blowing their top or getting all superior, etc! I mean some folks like to talk about more than the weather or one's favorite whatever.. I mean if ya don't want to discuss something go to other discussions! Courteous discourse can be very enjoyable.

There will be trolls on the internet, but the best thing is to ignore them. Not much is ever gonna change and not much progress will be made. Yes they were rude, but they don't care. Respect for all is too ideal in this reality.

Everyone being respectful might be impossible.. but maybe it can be if we start with ourselves. it is really hard to change others if we are not practicing what we preach.. so maybe by being respectful to otehrs who aren't we can influence them... little by little.

I agree that people should respect other people`s opinion. But that should work both ways. Many non believers think that some believers are rude to them because when they say they don`t believe, the believers tell them they will rot in hell. Now that is rude too. I do wish there was complete respect towards other human beings, no matter what they believe in.

Well, of course it should work both ways.. because of believers who are rude.. we are sometimes generalized as bad.. since some of us force others to believe or discriminate them.

There are people who are just immature and still cannot accept a few facts that each of us has his own right on what to believe in. I think they are just full of hatred in their hearts because if they don't hate, then they can learn to just ignore us, who believe in the Bible, maybe say a few things, but they should limit themselves and be more civil and respectful.

That's why I only read posts here. There are arguments in this forum too; but at least it is monitored and any flaming will not be tolerated. Some may think friendly and respectful means a boring site; but, personally, I prefer to stay away from rude and disrespectful posts.

And what's so very ironic is the bashing and name calling (condescension, ridicule) all points to one thing! The ones doing so have no valid arguments to support their (biased) opinion. If it's not supported by facts, it is bias. Of course, even education likes to imply God has been "proven" away.. but it is so very far from the truth! I did a study and research a few years back and still love to do so: http://inner-monastery.blogspot.com/p/faith-or-science.html Science in no way has come close to supporting man's theory of evolution nor millions (oh I forget, they changed that to billions) of years in age for the universe and earth. Why back in Darwin's day they didn't even know about the DNA code in all living things.. nor could they see the intense and busy metropolis and information network a single cell is! But thought it was a "blob".. Darwin himself said if anyone could come up with one thing which could not have come to be by very slow directionless changes, his theory would be proven false! I always have to wonder how thy think any living organism survived, while it was ever so very slowly developing its survival mechanism! And, natural selection, which is micro 'evolution' is the separation of traits an organism or life, "already has", not the growing/evolving of new ones!! But just try telling a devout atheist this! It's too simple and logical for them to get their heads around it.. Oh well, thanks for the opportunity to vent! No sense not posting it now!

I think that you will find this type of people in any debatable topic as well as just about everything. Some people just say what's on their minds while others find it necessary to be very insulting and assaulting as well. Respect is given where it is earned, and when a person thinks that he is being disrespected, I believe his/her main reaction would be to get back disrespectfully as well. I believe that the reason that some people react this way about the Bible or any religion in general is because there are actually verses, lines, or beliefs, about nonbelievers which describe them in not so pleasant ways. Religion and politics will always have sides clashing at each other, and as I do believe in respect, I also believe that there are levels of respect.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, everyone has the right to have their own opinions. And if people are going to debate issues such as religion people should have the common courtesy to respect the rights of others to hold different opinions. We all have to live together on this world and I think the world would be a much more harmonious place if we all listened to each other and tried to understand each other.I think the bible has the right answer for this.Matthew 7:12 do to others as you would have them do to you.We all want our views to be listened to respectfully so we should listen to the views or others with respect.

Respect goes both ways. I for one do not believe. There are may things about what the bible says that is just contradictive. I believe in a higher power but not in a God or the bible because everything i believe and respect is almost like a sin in the bible.
