How do think of the officials' coruption?

I never love telling lies, and I don't want to release any secrets, but I have to say something around me that I have seen recently so that I can learn more from what my friends respond. As some of you must have known, officials' coruption can always ruin the life of a political party or a country, but what leads to such a continuous situation in your country? I don't list any senior officials here in my discussion, and what I just want to say is that more than a week before one of my local small town government officials has been asked to explain where his big unreasonable income is from! And some of my colleagues said that his room had been searched.By now it has been over 1 week since he was carried away! They say that means he is in trouble. Before his case, there have been some local officals who's in trouble for coruption in the nearly 10 years, yet what made him not stop his illegal actions? Do such things happen often in your country? And how do think of it?

The coruption relates the money or individual interest closely, so it happens frequently to the different extent. It's lucky to find out the illegal behaviour as early as possible. I think there must be other many such things happening every minute, although they are still not exposed to the public. Such things are unavoidable, and we have to face and be against them. The key problem may be the individual awareness changing. One leader of our company was kind and warmheart once, but gradually become selfish and love corruption which make us be disappointed with. The similar people cannot resist the temptation of money and desire and then change their attitude. It's a pity for them that they will not fulfil their desire to such things forever until being in great trouble. And it's not easy to make them happy and relax in their deep mind as well.

I agree.Especially in China the big coruption cases were exposed to the public almost every week! And the other big or small coruption secrets that haven't been uncovered must be going every minute! That shows individual awareness can never stop any coruption behaving.Nice to meet you and have a nice weekend!

Hello lini & oldsix, corruption is the daily note in our newspapers. I feel so sad, and powerless to fight against it. We just sit to read how many governors steal tons of money. In some cases the law pursuit them in others the corruption goes so farther that the country looses money, because politician move abroad. They want money and power too. That`s why they cann`t have never enough money, because they want power, and more power. This is a lesson to me, to look into myself. Do I want power too? Blessings lini & oldsix... dainy

If an official is charged with corruption in the United States, usually, there will be a court hearing. The accuser will be given a chance to prove the charges, and the accused will be given a chance to disprove them. Hhowever, higher authorities may decide that , it would be in the best interests of all concerned to just remove the official from his office. If the offense was minor, he may just be suspended without pay for a period of time. He cannot be sent to jail without an open trial.

Nowadays the same legal procedures have to be done in China. But most of the officals have large income than their salaries, obviously there must be something illegal. However they'll be safe enough unless they are exposed for some reason.

How safe is it for a private citizen to expose the corrupt official? One who exposes corruption in governments deals (or in a large private firm or business) is called a whistleblower in the U S. A new law has been passed recently to protect the whistleblower.

Corruption has become a cancerous disease in many countries which is difficult to totally eradicate from spreading. My country is no difference. From the head to the lowest ranking officials are involved in corruption. Though we have anti-corruption agency to catch corrupted officials but still they are unable to wipe out corruption from breeding among high profile politicians. These politicians have the power and hold many projects to be given to their cronies at an inflated cost of which most of the money goes to their own pockets.

No wonder there is a Chinese idiom "Being an official and getting rich",that means officials can grab illegal income, not their salaries. The idiom itself developing has witnessed how close corruption is to officials!

Even though the corrupt officials constitute the minority, their behaviour may do a lot of damage to the government's popularity and bring about strong public sentiment on that.We must take a hard line on this question.

Yes,all corruption officials have to be punished and the corruption must be cleared. But when can we manage to do that?I think no one can give a correct answer since corruption has lasted for several thousand years.

Where there is selfishness, there is corruption. However there are some countries and regions in the world that are making inroads into the problem.

Corruption means making interest in an illegal way. It destroys a civilization. Specially the people of 3rd world countries are involved in corruption. Every people in my country believe that doing corruption is a normal thing. So there is nothing to raise agaist corruption. And a corrupted man becomes the victim of corruption of another man. People shamelessly misexplains things to people, blackmails them incessantly and makes multi storeyd building. They makes a bright future by such blood of the general people. My country credited as number 1 corrupted country 6 times so far by Transparency Internation Bangladesh. None is here to stop it. All are culprit in here. Even prime ministers too.

Who will catch these corrupted people if everyone is corrupted? If the leader is corrupted the rest will follow and it becomes a way of livelihood. How sad.

I have to believe that doing corruption is normal for almost all of the officials since the corruption cases are exposed continuously. But we can do nothing but sighing for it.

Politics in our country is always related to corruption. I am not saying that all poetic icons are corrupt but sad to note many are and only few are not. This is the reason why we have so many problems in our country and it is us the citizens that are suffering. Even our classroom for the public school are lacking and books are being shared teachers handling to many students instead of the ideal ratio. It is obvious that then funds in our country are corrupted instead of being returned in the form of services and facilities. I hope that one day, the system will change and that corruption will be eradicated. But as of the moment, I could not see any hope.

I even believe that the corruption will never be eradicated as long as human beings exist on the earth because men will not develope something to bind themselves! And that's the reason why officials risk corrupting. Yes,corruption is cancer, which will not be cured by men themselves.

corruption is like a disease. Its cannot stop or heal it. Just like cancer. If you take medicine to heal your cancer or by using operation but after how many years it will come back again again. Just like corruption. Its already in the system.

It has happened here occasionally over the last few years. It is a real embarrassment and makes our country look awful. I don't vote because I don't care for any of the apoinents. That is pretty sad.

Yes,all the governments have to face wmbarrassments and awfulness for their officials' corruptions because no one of the citizens likes that. Here in China, lots of the funds have gone to nowhere, that really makes us disappointed.
