media armbands

Does anyone use one of the armbands to hold your cell phone or media player? What do you think of it? I wanted one and I could not find them reasonable after I joined the gym. There's a good deal for one online however it's for an iPhone and I don't have one. BUT could I use hubby's old android in the same holder? I'd appreciate your feed back. As most of you know work out clothes don't come with holders or specialized pockets for media players of any kind.

I've never had one of these armbands but my little sister did have one of them when she was working out on a regular basis and she said it was the best purchase that she had ever made. For me, I just make sure that my earbuds are long enough that I can tuck the player into the pocket of my pants or a pocket in my shirt so that I can listen to music while I am working out. I just really don't like having something around my arm.

I bought one when I was working out. Walmart type places sell them cheap. The one I bought didn't fit perfect, but it came close enough. Turns out though, I didn't really like using it...cuz I always like skipping over certain songs.. so I'd just end up taking it out to skip a song anyway.. turned into more trouble than it was worth. After awhile I just held it or put it on the tray thingy on whatever machine I was using.
I'd also probably get some pants that have pockets.. that'll help for when you're not on a machine.
