How often do you go out to the movies?

If I go to the movies twice a year that's a lot. I think cable is keeping people from going. Even if you don't have premium channels there are still a lot of movies on tv or can be rented from Redbox or somewhere else. I have a big screen tv and that suits me just fine. I don't need to spend $12 to go to a movie when I can watch it in the comfort of my home for free. When was the last time you went out to see a movie? What movie was it? How often do you go?

I haven't watched a 3D movie in years and I think they are worth the price they charge. If only they would take out the commercials!

I prefer to watch movies at home too. I love going to the cinema but I hate the driving and looking for parking space and rushing into the theaters. I think watching movies at home where I'm most comfortable would be best.

With technology the way it is we can even pause a movie to go to the bathroom or kitchen. Why go through all that rushing to see a movie. Not me !

It was that long ago that I last went to the movies it must have been the 8th Harry Pottery film, yes that long! I find going to the movies expensive now and there's always some idiot sitting in front of me on their mobile phone, plus the films I like none of my friends like, I want to see the new James Bond film Skyfall but I am the only one who likes James Bond so I'll guess I'll wait till it comes out on sky next year, then it will save me a lot of money by not going.

They have gotten crazy with the price to see a movie...it's ridiculous. Like you there's always someone near me with their cell phones on not to mention even the theatres show commercials. I can get that on tv.

I don't get the chance to go to the movies very often. My husband and I are able to go to the movies from time to time, but not very often at all. We just don't get the chance to go very often.

I prefer downloading or streaming movies online rather than going to theaters. However, if my girlfriend would want us to go there, then that would be the time I will spend money to view such.

It's so easy now to download or stream movies I don't know how the theatres make any money.

I don't remember which movie it was. It's hard for me to go out to the movies because I'd have to get someone to babysit - it's easier to watch movies at home.

I go to the movies once or twice a year. I only go if there is a movie that I am really keen on seeing. I felt like that about seeing Eat, Pray and Love. I took a train then walked a long way to the cinema which had that movie being shown. If I take my two young kids to the cinema the seats try to fold up because they aren't heavy enough to sit on them. I watch movies that interest me on television and my laptop at home. I prefer to watch documentaries than movies. I got a Sky for just documentaries and not movies. When I was a teenager I went to the movies once a week. It was something my friends liked doing at that age.

I used to be a movie-addict, going to the theatres atleast three times a week. But, these days no more. It is quite amazing. I have pretty much lost interest in movies.

I was siting here trying to remember the last movie that I saw in the theather.. I can not remember what movie my hubby and I saw last but its been over a year or so.. It was so hard for us to get out; didnt have a sitter.. Also we could watch the movie a couple times.. Its a cool experince to watch one out at a theather but I normally have to watch it two or three times to catch everything.. Its was cheaper and convince for us... those will be memories that I keep close to me..

I exactly agree to you. I don't like to go to movies. I don't go to movies for 2 years. Why am I pay 12$ to movies, while I have a chance to watch at home. :)

The last movie I'd seen in theater was, i think if my memory serve me right, was Titanic, must be a decade now, lol! With cable, the net especially youtube, there's nothing much to see in theaters, although i would admit that the theater environment - the big screen and great sound - are factors to consider.

With cable tv and Netflix, I think the last movie that I have seen in movie theaters was the Men In Black in 3d. It was my sister's birthday. I think I only get to watch movies whenever there's an occasion unlike before Otis a must for me to at least see one 2-3 times a month.
