Obama victory was historic - your thoughts?

There are two Presidential candidates in the 20th century who earned 51% of the vote for their first term and second terms. They are FDR and Ike (Reagan got 50.75% in beating Carter). With still over 1 million votes uncounted (yes, still counting) Obama is closing in on 51% for a second time... impressive, eh? In the meantime, Romney earned 47.47% so far. That rounds down to 47%, a figure Romney supporters should be familiar with, remember? Your thoughts?

I find it ironic that Romney would end up with 47% of the vote. Maybe he saw something the rest of us didn't? I also found it ironic that Romney didn't spend a dime of his own money on his campaign this time (I didn't find any proof that the did on-line). That is the first rule of investing in anything: If the people running the investment won't put their own money in, then you shouldn't either.

Wonder how much Obama spent of HIS OWN money? Or did he go to those evil 1%ers?

While I agree that it was historic...both times, for many reasons I also hope that one of those reasons does not happen to be a nation even worse off than we already were four years ago.
