"[6.122] Is he who was dead then We raised him to life and made for him a light by which he walks among the people, like him whose likeness is that of one in utter darkness whence he cannot come forth? Thus what they did was made fair seeming to the unbelievers." I was injured, and so felt as if I had been 'removed from the throne' of the position I hoped to hold in my family and my society. Or does that happen to everyone who conquers a brain-injury?

I would think to everyone who suffers a brain injury.. (Kudos to you for conquering it!) My father a few years back had a stroke and I could tell the most important thing for him to conquer and get back, was his thinking and speaking.. To get rid of that fuzziness he was experiencing. It made him feel "less than". He did really well! (Also his hardship tempered him and he was a better person for it.) As for myself, I've learned to be rather lay back, although I have a lot of responsibilities and helping out roles in my family. I don't know how I would feel about it, except I would sure want to conquer!! (Actually, I'm "fuzzy" enough already!)
