Christmas is meant for children

I believe Christmas is really for children. As I grow old, I don't have that same excitement about Christmas unlike when I am a kid. I am excited to hear Christmas songs when I am a kid but now it's okay without Christmas jingles. When I realize there is really no Santa putting goodies on our socks, it was sad. Children are the happiest during Christmas, they will have Christmas parties, parades, parlor games in school. They will have new set of clothes and shoes. They are fascinated by lanterns and Christmas decors. They will also earn some money during Christmas as they received money gifts from relatives and other adults. Christmas is for them, adults just feel like children during Christmas..Merry, Merry Christmas to everyone!

Except if you are seeing Christmas through a child's eyes again, it's wonderful if you have a family and have children and seeing their excitement and them knowing that santa really exists. But the spark certainly goes out of Christmas once you know there is no Santa and your awe and excitement starts to fade. I am not on big Christmas myself and it's just not the same any more.

Yes, Christmas time has that spark making it a special occasion. Somehow it sometimes fades but we try to make it special for a kid so they would have good memories of Christmas.

I agree... but stores have made it into a gift idea rather than what xmas should mean to everyone. Good to know, some still know the true meaning of xmas day. Take care there, and merry xmas to you and yours...

Yeah, Christmas is for stores too. People are excited for gift giving, stores are excited for the Christmas shoppers.

I am excited this year for Christmas, because it is the first year in seven years that all of my kids will be together under one roof. Everyone will be here. I'm over joyed! I may not be excited about the gifts, but I am excited about my kids and grandchildren being here for the Christmas holiday. My two youngest children are very excited about the Christmas holiday this year. I hope it is a very special holiday for them, one they will cherish and remember in their hearts forever.

Children enjoy festivals much.Enjoying festivals at an adult age is a different phase.Watching children enjoying Festivals will remind us of our childhood days which we used to enjoy along with our friends and family which is really a peculiar experience. There is a little bit of childishness left even if we grew older.Let us discover that and enjoy with our children.Merry Christmas to all.

I feel the same way; Christmas used to be the best time of year for me now it just kind of seems like another day; though I am thankful that I get to celebrate it with my child.

That is true, I just see it as just like the other day but it's still special like it used to be.

I agree with you, but at the same time maybe Christmas is the time when adults should think about children and what they would like to receive as presents. I remember going on trips and coming back home with a gigantic bicycle like pony! Carrying it was not big problem, as I was sure my young nephew would love to receive it!

I still get the joy when Christmas arrives. It has been a way with us for some years now to entertain orphans at different locations and with them I simply love spending a day. I still put up some xmas decor and have xmas music playing, baking my favourite date and walnut cake, bringing in the mood.

Christmas is a very important occasion for kids because they get to have tons of gifts and are able to go to different places to visit relatives and have fun going to carnivals and theme parks. Although adults do not feel as excited as kids do, still they enjoy the Christmas season because they would have to be with their loved ones.

I enjoy Christmas. It's not about presents for me. I just like having a big get together and we all spend a few hours together on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I told my family not to get me a gift because I cannot reciprocate, but she is getting me something anyway. My daughter and SIL get both sets of parents something for Christmas. They usually spend about $100 each. I would rather they don't do it just because I can't do the same.

I believe christmas is for every one but most specially for children.. as an adult we love to see children's smile as they open their christmas gifts and even when they receive something from their family or godmother and godfather.. when I was a kid I am really looking forward for the christmas season because its the happiest season of the year.. merry christmas.,
