How do you manage your time during vacation?

So it's Christmas, and school is coming again soon! Our professors left us some heavy paperwork, and I haven't finished any of it. I don't even want to look at them, lol. Like, whenever I try to open my bag to work at those papers, I'm like, "No, I don't want to ruin my vacation." And then days passed without me even touching them. Plus, I'm busy in our church. Aargh. How do you manage your time guys? I really needed some help in organizing it. Thank you, God bless and Merry Christmas!

I actually finish all my school-works before I make the most of my vacation. Why? because I believe that we should always organize the stuffs we need to do and it would be easier for us to know what we need to do first. That way we won't be stressed with all these works piled up and also, we won't be rushing stuffs and messing it up in the end.

Thank you! I'll make my own schedule for every paper, and then I'll try to follow it. Force myself to do it, no matter what. But, hmm, I'm not really good in forcing myself to do something, especially when I feel sleepy. lol Happy Holidays!

Right after Christmas, you might want to try to use your school schedule. The times that your classes would regularly meet, you could do that paperwork. It's like you're in class but not really. Then your other time you could use to what you would normally do when you are not in class. I need to start getting on track for when my new semester starts on January 7th. That means I need to start getting to bed earlier than I have been here lately.

I am on my first winter break (J-Term, they call it at my school) and I have been managing my time by RELAXING a little bit - but I work full-time in addition, all the time, so it's not as though I am sitting at home bored. I work 7a-4p, and now I've been working at my second job about 3-4 more hours a day. It makes for a long day! Then, at night, I have been reading books like CRAZY! I have already read about 3-4 in the past 2 weeks. It's awesome. I am already excited for the next semester to start, even though it's going to mean a lot of work.. Best of luck to you with your next semester & have a nice winter break!

Wow. I wonder how you manage all of that? Don't you sleep? How many hours of sleep do you every night? That's crazy. Hahaha! It's also my habit to stay up all night reading books. :)

One task per day and get the rid of it as soon as possible. Sadly many times teacher believe a vacation is to give a lot of homework and win some time.

Sadly, yes. They don't know what's the real meaning of vacation. :( Maybe that will work for me too. Thank you for the response!

Well, I have to admit that I spent my holiday vacation without doing anything and now classes will resume soon and I have tons of assignment that I have not started yet. I think it is difficult to concentrate in work with the internet around. But I tried to avoid too much use of the internet and started researching a little bit then do the paperworks manually. Our library is close anyway for the holidays so I have to use the internet. I suggest you remove all the things that might capture your attention.

Hello, Vacation is the time to throw all your books to one side and enjoy! Enjoy and enjoy to the fullest. This is what happens the average students. If you want to score and really score to get a first class honours, then you have no choice but to study during vacation. You can plan your studies. Finish your assignment first. Then a quick revision of what you have studied previous earlier. Next study what your professors taught just before vacation. Lastly shoot off to your dream vacation. Ahem,eh?

I think what you should do is to try to do it little by little, the first step usually hard to do but when you do it little by little everyday, your homework from your professor will be finished eventually. Rather than proscrinate and then miserable (because you didn't do your homework) at the end of holiday, it's better to do it little by little (no you don't have to spend all your day) just try to set aside some time everyday to do it.

Well, organizing time during vacation is not an easy thing. This vacation, i have lot of things on hand, and i am trying to fins time and solve things.I am giving relaxation time as well, but also finishing things slowly so that it does not become cumbersome. But then it has not been easy with the random things happening in life and well, i too would not want to ruin my vacation and holidays. But then i also do not want to ruin the initial first days after the holidays with the work load and things.Plus it would not help as it would be like coming out of an inertia. So i am somehow doing things slowly and completing things as my pace and thats helping. There are days i wish i had more than 24 hours to complete all the things involved in a day.Anyways good to hear your thoughts and things.Wish you a Merry Christmas as well!

Since I have filed a leave of absence from my work for 1 month, I will manage my long vacation spending time and sharing moments with my family and loved ones. Going from one house to another to eat, haha. Movie marathon, playing game consoles and surfing the internet.
