I've been reading since.. oh 1 am! I can't believe it's four. About an hour ago I said "oh I'll go to bed". Apparently not! I most likely will even finish this story before I go to sleep! How late have you stayed up to read?

When I first started at Mylot there were days or nights when I would be up until about 2 a. m. I always regretted it when I went to work the next day.

I can literally read for 12 hours and totally lose track of time. When I lay in bed and read, I have to set myself up with a cutoff time or I will be up all night. I have to do this because I have kids I have to get off to school and when I don't sleep, I am a tad gretzy. I have on occasion though read until after 3 in the morning. And then, there are times when I wake up and can't go back to sleep that I will pick up my book and read. To me though, reading doesn't make me tired; it has the opposite effect on me...haha!!!

It all depends on me. I mean if it's a great book it wakes me up and has me reading it until the end. If it's not that great of a book it puts me to sleep. I only work three times a week, and those three times is always late 2nd shift, which I prefer. No kids to get off to school, and even when my niece and nephew are here we hardly ever have to get them off to school.

Oh yes! I used to do that all the time growing up. At 3am one morning on a school night when I was eight, my mom found me in the closet with a flashlight reading Charlotte's Web. I used to do that, all the way into my teen years. While I may not do that so much now, I can still get so involved I forget what time it is.

It's so much quieter late at night and so much easier to read then, even now for me.

wow, that must be quite a gripping tale! i think the latest i have ever stayed up to read was around 2 in the morning. i am so not a night person and am exhausted and ready to go to bed around 10:30 and cannot keep my eyes open by 11 pm. i wouldn't last long at a all night read.

Two night a week i work until midnight, on the third night it's usually atleast until 11, so with that being said I usually don't go to bed until 1 am. It wasn't far fetched for me to be up until four am, though I was a bit tired. Mixed in with the fact that I had just gotten off work and had that "adrenaline high" right after, otherwise I think I'd have conked out by two. Though now I've made it a bad habit as a few times last week I wasn't in bed until 5 am!

I think I used to stay up and hour or two. My eyes would get tired and I wouldn't be able to see. Have a problem with them anyway. I would buy something boring and I bet it would help get you to lah lah land. You don't have to wear reading glasses yet do you?

Yes I have to wear glasses to read and when I drive to drive. I've always worn glasses though, since I was four. Throughout the years it's gotten where all I need them for is to read or drive though. I was reading the story I was talking about on a website so it wasn't as easy to just put the book down and walk away, atleast not for me.

It's actually a story on wattpad.com. I'll have to look through my history and find it again as shortly after I posted this I said I just need to go to bed. Hope you are not ill? Just a restless night?

Not for a long time admittedly, I blame the internet for taking up all of my reading time, before the internet I always had my head in a book and would become so engrossed in the story that it was like I had jumped into the book and was playing one of the roles, it was a blessed escape from reality, many a time I wouldn't go to bed till 2am because my curiousity made me kept reading.

I do not think I have stayed up that late reading since I was a teen.Of course I was never a night owl, so it would more likely be that I would get up very early and read all day.

Growing up, during the summer I'd stay up really late at night. As I got older during the school year, I'd wake up a few hours earlier and be up then. It was the only time quiet enough to read or watch t.v. without being interrupted by someone.

I don't usually stay up to read, but all too often I end up staying up to watch something on TV that is better than the usual early evening programming

Reading at night is an awesome experience. With all the cool and silent atmosphere, concentrating on the storyline, characters and actually getting into the scene we are reading is very easy. I'm glad you're having a good time with your reading. By the way, what book are you reading? I remember I was reading Mario Puzo's Godfather and I was awake all night reading it. I slept the other day the whole time.

If the book is really good until it is finnished which is several hours to a day depending on the length, but since I have had kids, I don't get nearly as much reading done as I used too. I do get some reading in when I am sick or there is quite time for me.

I too am addicted to reading .when my exams were close ,my mom used to ask me to study and I used to read mystery stories and whenever mom came nearby I had my school text book above the story book ,but I passed my exams with good grades also .The book draws one in itself that you don,t want to leave it unfinished .
