So, almost everybody knows what happened in Atimonan, Quezon. Police and army personnel flagged down two Montero Sport SUVs they said were carrying gun-for-hire goons, but turned out to be fellow Police officers and army personnel too, and an environmentalist. 13 died from the rain of bullets. What do you think of that incident? A shoot-out or an ambush? If it is an ambush, what do you think is their motive for doing that? Let us know what you think...

It's still too early to tell. Both parties have provided sound claims and it's very hard to make a conclusion over an unfinished case. There are a lot of angles that need to be considered and a thorough investigation, which is already happening, needs to be finished. We should just keep our eyes and ears open on this one.

Now that things are getting clearer than it used to be, we can now conclude what really happen there. I saw it in the TV, and there's Secretary Leila De Lima emotionally declaring it as a "rub out". Thanks for those who responded to this topic and shared their views and opinions.

the story that goes around is that there were golds and diamonds there and that aside from assassinating them there were after money. it is really a wonder why so many policemen would be manning a checkpoint. Don't you think that is a little strange?

Looks like everything is still under investigation as the manner the supposed shootout happened has so many questionable points of view from the investigators. There were this two pictures showing that were of the same person but some evidences looked like they were planted. There was one with some gunpowder on the face of the victim which showed that he was shot at close range and the angle he was shot was going down which means it was like a summary execution kind of shooting. So I am still perplexed as to how this things are happening but basing from the investigation it certainly looks like a rubout than shootout.

It is obvious its an ambush. there were only 2 bullet holes coming from the inside of the car, the rest came from outside. From what i understood in the news, it was about jueteng or illegal gambling.

Personally, I don't know.. Our police today has so many hidden agenda, maybe this could be a shout-out, or an ambush, but one thing is for sure. Many lives were lose, when will our police department change?

Hello Magtibaygom, I got no clue in what i should conclude in this case of theirs. but there was some serious crap going on since it was more on eliminating the competition, too bad it was a real bad gambling competition that they really want to get rid of with. so many criminalities that even members of the army and police force are involved. i can't help it saying that most authorities can't be trusted at all.
