That is what I think is happening to my mind right now. I could not think of a nice interesting topic to contribute here. I've wracked my brain and memory chest, still nothing. After sharing this dry feeling, I will be logging out and see if I could get something if I distance myself for a while. I know how important it is for us members of this site to always contribute something fresh to the site. We just can't be depending on others' discussions to keep the site alive. We also need to share our own treasure chest of ideas and experiences, but right now, I'm just feeling as dry as the desert.

Maybe you're suffering from semi-writer's block. 
Just kidding, but give it a bit more time. Maybe you just are not in the mood to start discussions, but you sure can reply to some topics here. You can't force writing, sometimes we also have downtime when it comes to thinking straight and creatively. I was told it isn't permanent anyway.

You always start new discussions and give opportunities to share their ideas and thoughts with you.
I agree with you that it is necessary to start new and interesting discussions to keep the site alive. However, one user can not think of new discussions, it is a collective effort. You could take a short break and could come with new ideas.

For me it's like buses I don't do a discussion for ages, then one day I will come up with 3 good ones to post. I guess it depends on the mood you are in, what has happened to you offline and even other Mylot discussions can trigger a gem of an idea! We all get dry periods my friend, but we make up for them in time!

Cutie this here is a topic of discussion so yes you came up with something. Maybe this isn't the most interesting and fresh topic but it is something and it is more than some come up with. I also like the phrase dry as the Sahara Desert. I say that when my mouth is real dry, but never heard it this way but cute.

hi cutie I have been there too but your metaphor is lovely I like that. And yes I have been in that state too a few times. also once I had a brilliant idea in the middle of the night. So i sat down here the next morning and it seemed so stupid and I could not remember how I wanted to do it.Well stupid me I did remember some of it and wrote it and I think it got a whole four responses as I did not make it clear what I was trying to say.Mylot admins refused to delete it

Maybe you're just tired. I feel the same way sometimes, or rather many times. I think you just need to relax a bit. If you can't think of any nice topic to start, try searching and responding to the topics that has already been started and you are most interested with. I'm sure you can still contribute there.

But a desert itself has many varities, and intresting topics. Have you ever seen the movie SAHARA?. it's really intresting. Watch the movie. Your mind will get enhanced. Its an action+adventure movie . Story about two treashure hunters and a tyrant named kazim. And also young lady doctor ,who arrived at shara to find the source of a disease!!

there are a lot of things to discuss daily just have a few deep breath close you eyes and then open them.... you will feel fresh and you can be creative in any thing to make it as a topic...
