I think here in our country, we are very poor in golds because mining is prohibited in our mountains. People here are against mining because of its effect in our mother nature. The mining areas are experiencing landslides and flash floods. The mountains lost its rich trees already. Mining can make our environment gets into worst it can be.

Remember that you might have the resources but you don't have the equipment or expertise to mine or develop your resources. Usually, multinational companies do the dirty job and of course, they get most of the profits. They usually deal with your government on how the share of profits - and government gets a share due to taxes and licenses. If the govenrment or the people can develop the resources themselves, you can take almost the entire profit by selling it in domestic or international trade.

You don't even have to leave your country to find some of the richest gold reserves in the world: http://www.ostomaan.org/articles/news-and-views/9803 Unfortunately, the Pakistan Government appears to be allowing the mining rights to be quietly sold for far less than they're worth to foreign companies: http://zagtalk.surferzag.com/balochistan-gold-mine-scandal-worth-us260-billion-unearthed/

Gold is not so easy to find and to recover. I panned gold for a summer in my youth and worked very hard every day, digging in streams and riverbanks, around tree roots, lifting big rocks and looking underneath. Gold in streams settles toward the bottom since it is heavier than rock. You have to dig down to bedrock, which is sometimes quite deep, to find where it has settled. It is backbreaking work and not very rewarding. I came away with half an ounce of gold for 6 weeks of labor. Others found several ounces but they had bought dredging machines and automatic panning machines. Panning is where you put the dirt and rocks in a pan and wash away everything but the gold, which settles to the bottom of the pan if you do it correctly. I doubt they found enough to pay for their equipment. I lived in a tent (they had trailers) and ate beans and flour cakes. The best thing that came out of that trip was not the few flakes of gold I found but all the weight I lost from the labor and scarce food. It was a great experience! But gold is not easy to find unless you have big machines and a lot of money and are willing to tear up the land.

Hello Tushavi! I really have no idea to be honest. I don't know much about gold or where to look for gold. Would be fun though to try and find it. Happy MyLotting. ~AussieGal~

Generally finding gold is long hard work and very few find enough to change their lives. Better to get a good education then dig in rivers, lakes and mountians for gold.

There's this gold finding series in an education channel but I can't remember what it is. Their job is finding pure gold dust and they really can find one with the use of some equipment. I find it difficult because even with so much work and with the number of days even weeks they are on that place, there's only a few amount of gold that they can dig. But, they sure to earn thousands of dollars.

I don't think finding gold is that easy. One must have the patience, determination and also assurance that there is really gold in the place where your looking. And one must have special equipment to at least point where to start. Having gold is also a good investment because it's value seldom goes down.

Sorry but gold is hard to find and keep. First off, you need to find gold, which is usually by mining and quarrying. You could only find specks of gold which is formed into gold bard and acts like gold reserves for a country. However, it is even hard and environmentally dangerous t mien and quarry. Gold mining is also a very serious job since it involves miens and unpredictable work conditions. In addition, I have never head of gold mountains, not in this world anyway. Maybe you mean lots of gold reserves in their central banks. They might have many but they cannot sell it off like hotcakes. It will drive the price of gold down and make it cheaper in value.
