Greeting Cards Loaded with Glitter

Awww those wonderful greeting cards sent by friends. Don't you just love them when they are full of glitter? After the holidays I had glitter all over the house. Still continue to get cards, even thank you notes, loaded with glitter. As pretty as they may seem, thoughtful, caring and loving wish the card stores would do away with all the glitter. What's your take?

I personally like cards that have pictures or images of sceneries. Also maybe some black and white photographs of still life or cute animals or humorous quotes. It's just a personal preference, but what I like most about the cards is seeing my friends' handwriting.

oh i like getting cards. they are wonderfull. and can be kept with myself for long.. and they keep reminding beautiful memories. i generally choose glitters cards. and even i have made 6 cards till now.. using glitters.. and everyone liked them. :)

i agree with you. i like the glitter, but it gets everywhere.

Since I do make cards I have a tendency to NOT use glitter. Whenever you are making cards to donate one of the things they suggest...in fact they insist on especially for the troops...is NO glitter. Though it adds so much to the card it gets all over! I am a glitterless card maker....if you think it's a mess when you open the card you should make one with glitter once! LOL

I don't many from friends as most of my friends are not very gift card minded. My family on the other hand are so I get them from them. I don't care much for the glitter ones, I think they look cheap so I go for the plain prints without the glitter to send. There I have solved two problems with the glitter, I don't give them so you don't have the mess to clean up.

I like greeting cards, and i love those cards with no or few glitters only. i love glitters, but only love to look at them. i am afraid the glitters would get into my eyes and so i try to stay away from them.
I prefer the latest kind of greeting cards that have embossed printings, or those that have a 3D effect in them. :D

I really like glitters on my cards and other displays.
but yes, it stick everywhere and it's hard to clean it especially on rugs and carpets.
