Getting paid to take surveys

In pursuit of some extra money, I even went as far as joining a few of those sites where they pay you to take surveys. My problem with this is while I seem to be doing okay some of the time, it seems like I am at a stand-still because I notice I don't fall into what they are calling the qualifications of taking these surveys. I usually find this out once I enter the basic information (age, race, income, etc.) I am involved in Inbox Dollars, GlobalTestMarket, Fusion Cash, Mindspay, Cashback Research, and Survey Spot and my earnings so far are pretty good on most of those. However, I am thinking of that rule from when I first started out (if the payout rate seems to take too long to reach, you might be wasting time) I've been looking at the payout rates and none of them are under $20..and they flood my inbox daily.. so my question to you guys: Does anybody have any experience with the survey-taking world? Am I wasting my time with these sites?

I'm part of a few but have not done a survey in a while. I just get so sick of them they are long boring and repetitive. Although I have been paid a few times by some I just can't get myself to stick with it Some aren't as much of a waste of time than others but none I know are paying under $20 from memory.

They do. If they were short they wouldn't be so bad and yes the qualifying is also annoying on them. I don't bother with them much anymore because of those things

I had nothing but time on my hands to look for a low-payout survey site and sadly there doesn't seem to be anything under $20. The surveys that I tried to take all seemed to be aimed at a certain group and if I could figure out which group it is, I would've made payout twice already. It's sad how long and tedious those surveys are. I still think that I came a little too far to just quit but they are really leaving me no choice whatsoever...

If I were to involved in all those sites, I'll suffocate. After 2 years, I finally were able to redeem my $50 check from Global but have yet to receive it. Its been 6 weeks now and yet to arrive. Until my check arrives, I'll not be participating in their surveys, though I get them every other day. Besides, if you are not screened out they really waste your time. For instance, the last survey I did was for 30 minutes and worth 40 points(according to their estimation), but it was not going to end for 1 hour and 20 minutes and still they had a lot of questionnaire coming in. I closed the window before completing it. At times, it's just irritating with the kind of surveys they send.

I swear the surveys that I took so far were so stupid. I once sat for about an hour taking one about what type of sandwich meat I buy. It was so dumb but surprisingly enough, it was my biggest paying survey in that site. I had more sites than I listed but had no other choice but to delete my accounts there because I wasn't qualified for anything but they were seriously sending 10-15 emails a day. It got so annoying. I can handle the ones I got if the surveys weren't so boring. Well, the ones that I can actually take..

we bought the same . I just request for payout just this march too in global test market and really it is so long before you can reach payout. so you said it you are waiting for more than a month now but 2 months is the maximum and if you haven't received you have to follow up it as their rules.the sodexo premium pass worth P300 that I am holding in my profile. it took me not less than 5x follow up to their site. as I haven't received it on the time that they are stated.instead it tooks almost half a year before I received it.I was believed that site like this and the globaltestmarket was true because of the green lock signed on the left side in the bar verified by a VeriSign trustnetwork.hope you will received your earnings there . but I will still suggest it's better to spend time here in my lot than being in a survey.

hi Miss Black for years I did mysurvey.com and Ii could make as much as twenty dollars every month but now they want me to put software of theirs in my computer and i just do not want to do that.I feel that foreign software will dump spyware into my computerand also slow it way way down too. r.

I think they might be the ones who wanted me to download a toolbar of some sort. I don't trust any of that and I worked hard to keep my Firefox toolbar-free. I don't need anything foreign on my computer that would be a pain in the end to remove...

Yes this is correct. working on survey sites is totally a wastage of time.

It really seems that way. I've wasted at least a month's worth of time that I can't get back and I feel terrible about it. There was actually enough in the earnings combined for all the sites I was involved in to triple the amount I made here so far...this is really terrible

Never tried the sites you said, but I'm pretty curious to see how they work and if they really pay me. :D I'm not so lucky, lately!

I just cancelled two of them today so now I think I am down to two sites left and they are next to go. I just checked survey savvy and I didn't have any points or cash whatsoever after two months. I checked my email inbox and there is at least eight emails for surveys that I am not eligible for. Tired of them wasting my time so I got rid of them..

So far I've tried almost 10 to 15 sites that promises payouts fr taking surveys... And all of them seems to be scam... A few gud guys are as follows: 1) cloudcrowd on Facebook - it's not for surveys.. It's tasks.. Very simple ones and dey pay for sure.. Dey don hav a min payout. 2) npolls - it's really gud too but u don't get surveys that often 3)fanslave - this site pays you to like pages on fb and to follow on twitter These 3 r only reasonably gud from what I've seen so far.. Pls let me know f there are another gud ones..

I have never had any luck with online survey sites. I never qualify and think it's because of my age. So I go through all the premininary questions and pretty much waste my time. I do have other sites I work on that gives me some extra cash. Sure can't make a living online although I have tried over the years. However, I do know someone who does very well and makes a living working survey sites. Anything earned online is just an added plus to my bank account.

I have tried to take online surveys like you too. I just became too overwhelming for me because some of the surveys I take would take me around half an hour to an hour to complete for so few cents. I guess some people can really handle it. I just continue on Mylot to post on sometimes so that I can earn money.

I don't usually have much luck with these, because I live in Hungary, and really few surveys are made for people living here. I don't really earn that much with them. I've only found two sites which work okay for me: GlobalTestMarket and MarketAgent. MarketAgent I like better because it's quite easy even for me to reach the cashout limit... it still takes at least two months, and it's 2,5euros, but still. GlobalTestMarket, well, I'm at like 400 points now. It's gonna take quite a long time to cash out, but at least it has surveys for me.

as you see in my profile photo I am holding a sodexo pass worth 300 pesos and $1 is equivalent to 39-40 pesos. so imagine that I gained that about less or more than a year. in global test market it took me more than a year to withdraw $50 and expect to erceived it by may since I just made it request for payout just recently. Hope I will received it soon.philippine ipanelonline survey I received about 100pesos or $2.45 less deduction of paypal charge.equivalent to about P82pesos. and i received that from answering sure but not very often sometimes once a month only. so answering survey doesn't guarantee a good income.Unfortunately We cannot depend our daily needs from our earnings there. it just only a bonus to working online.

wow..yes, you are right about that. If I tried to make money online to pay bills, I think I would be in a lot of trouble. I was really just trying to make a couple of extra dollars but I see I would be better off getting a second job or taking an extra shift. I don't think it was always this difficult though. This seemed way easier a few years ago..

I have not actually done much with survey sites. I do have inboxdollars which I have received money from that one. Although, I have not really done much else with the any of those kinds of sites. I know that they have you earn the money slowly but some do pay. The ones who do not pay you and have you pay them I see as scams.

With inbox dollars, I just get what looks to be the same paid emails everyday and none of it is even being credited to my account. However, I think that's the one I have where my earnings is actually pretty good but nowhere near the payout. I wish I had the patience to actually stick around, reach payout and then cancel the account but I feel I already wasted so much time...

Yes... True..... I myself has subscript to a few sites and most of the surveys are the same (repeating) thus if I took the survey at one site, I will get kicked out by the other one. and till now I have yet to be able to change for any cash from the points.

I have given up on those surveys coz really, people from our country could not benefit from any of it. It is mostly intended for US nationals. I have also become a member of a few sites you have mentioned, but I didn't gain anything from them.

I have been with mysurvey for several years and have cashed out several times. It has or had a very good reputation. I never made a lot but really enjoyed the surveys and the site. Just days ago, they invited me to join mysurvey connect. I was sent an app to install. I did so. Supposedly, I was to get many benefits from joining mysurvey connect and installing the app. That was my last communication from my survey. Last night, I went to my survey to see if I got 100 points for installing the app. I could not log in. I got a message saying that the account was not active meaning my account with them. I have sent an email to support and left a message on their phone support. So far, no response. I do not know what to think. I had over $15 in my account. I do not know if they have turned to scam or went belly up. They have been around for years and had / have a real good reputation. If I had responded to your discussion last week, I would have spoken very highly of my survey. Now, I do not know what to say. I am thinking of beginning my own discussion on mylot about my survey.
