Update of sorts

I am just going to say right here right now that I may not get around to responding / commenting back to everyone here. I will read the responses however. I have not been on mylot lately for a lot of reasons. One is I've been procrastinating. The other is I have gotten a lot of a little accomplished. I've gotten my room pretty much clean, just need two boxes gone, the floors to be thoroughly vacuumed and shampooed and all of that, and then I need to buy two small bookshelves to go under the one I had installed on my wall. In other news, I went to get myself my license. Did I? No. Why? three point turn. So I have to find the money and all to get that done. Didn't cry, didn't get upset. I knew I failed it then and there, but that was the only thing which is good. So let's see... Other then cleaning up as much as I can (need to make a few dozen goodwill runs) and trying to get my license but failing the dang three point turn, oh that and having more bills to pay.. Everything is peachy keen! You?

Sounds like you have been busy, I have been working more. But am trying to catch up here, so I don't fall behind. I remember failing my G2 twice, and my G once. It happens, I actually have never known anyone who has passed the first time.

That is what I've been told by friends. A lot of them didn't pass the first time. I think it's the nervousness of having to drive with someone your not used to. The area I do the test in is 20 mph then 35 mph then back to 20 so not bad.

I refuse to do it where I live because the people at both license offices are just plain rude. Plus one is not in a safe part of town. Yeah same here if one little thing isn't in perfect working order it's "sorry come back when you get that fixed."

My first time it was in the city, because my in class stuff was there, so they forced you to do it in the city. So I was more nerve because of that, and not use to the city driving. The next time was in the next town over, and I passed. A few times I failed because the car was unsafe, once the tire was a little low, and other my abs didn't work. It's all a money grab.

I'm slow today. You didn't get your license, you mean driver's license? The mention of saving money confused me. Like I said, I'm slow.

No I didn't get my license the other day because of the three point turn. Oh and it's alright I make confusing posts sometimes, heck I talk in tongues a lot and people have to ask me again what I mean!

I am at work a lot more than I would like, although now I am on sort of a break this weekend until tomorrow evening. I am sorry that three point turn got you. It is kind of difficult to learn but a snap once you have it down. Good job on the cleaning and organizing. I am sure that it makes you feel better to have a space for yourself that is clean and organized.

Well I hope you can have a few more small breaks as too much work, it's a stressor! Well it's funny, I was taught the three point turn and only able to practice it five times before I went to get my license. My grandfather took me out in his car (he won't let me drive it) and showed me how to do a three point turn. I'd already practiced it with the instructor by this point. Well he says "will that do it?" My grandfather that is. I said "yeah." What I wanted to say is "no, you didn't signal left, you didn't look back over your shoulder..." What got me when I tried was I forget to counter steer.

Peachy keen indeed! Good to hear from you girl. I hope you are able to over come this three point turn thing and get your license. Glad you didn't get upset. I bet the cleaning gave you a feeling of accomplishment. Glad you are doing okay and hope to hear from again soon.

It was the counter-steering that got me, I forget to do that! Yes well the cleaning is giving me a great big feeling of accomplishment, and the fact family members who weren't so keen to get rid of things are now actually allowing it.. makes it much better.

First - I missed you. Secondly, sorry about the three point turn. When I did it it was a fluke and havenever done it since. I can't even parallel park! You will pass the test next time. The good thing is that you have made such progress with clearing your room. Nothing remains the same and change is our greatest blessing. Things will turn around

Thank you! I missed you and everyone here as well. I am going to try to make a conscious effort to be on here more! Yes I don't think I will do a three point turn very often if at all after the test is done. A friend of mine said she never did until recently. Luckily I don't have to do parallel parking. I am trying to clean four rooms of the house that are the messiest and that entails a lot of goodwill trips. There are a few things that are far more valuable that if I can not sell I will give to local organizations that can sell it and make a profit for their organization.

You've been pretty much productive, I see. Don't worry about the license. It's probably just a blessing in disguise. Something good will turn out soon. About the bills, I can totally relate. Like, YEA! 100%!!!! Me? Been working really hard to make both ends meet for me. I have some certain goals to achieve next month such as designs for new webpages, paper works to pass to my president, and a financial goal as well. I just hope I can do all that! Well, good luck to all of us! :)

Money is hard to come by and harder to keep! Let us both hope we can get what we need done done. I need more money to be able to completely finish the projects (cleaning) I've set out for myself.

I like your positive attitude my friend, something that I could learn from, I tend to be negative, I am sorry that you didn't get your licence, I got mine on my second attempt, I remember failing the first time on a roundabout, that is what I hated the most roundabouts. We all have busy lives so sometimes we drop out of Mylot, but the great thing is that Mylot is always there for us to return to, as are our friends. Life just sometimes gets in the way!

Good to see you again my friend, I must admit I was concerned about you, but am glad that you are okay. I am sorry you did not pass your test, but I am sure you will pass the next time. As for the cleaning I am glad that you have accomplished a lot and that you are getting closer to being done. I still have to clean my kitchen and organize my craft area. I finished my second Master's degree and next week I will be looking into substitute teaching. I am also starting to create my online jewelry business. I am also taking courses in jewelry making classes, sewing classes and quilting classes and am having fun in all these courses. I wish you all the best.

yes well I really wanted to ask the instructor when I was EVER going to use a three point turn, but I know I need to know it just in case. A friend of mine said she used to never use them, now she has to use it every day getting out of her driveway!

Sounds like you have gotten a lot done lately! I'm sorry you didn't pass your road test. A lot of people don't pass it until a few tries, I am sure next time you will do great! =) I have been here on MyLot every day mostly. And my Childcare Business is doing awesome. :) I have more and more clients every week! I am super excited about that...

Not much out of the ordinary is happening with me... Still addicted to this site, I've been here every single day... In my case, I think I was failing the parallel parking when I first took the test.

We don't have to do that here, thankfully. The three point turn was a narrow stretch of road, but I mean of course it would be, the whole reason for a three point turn...

It was in the States, actually... Note that I said "I think..." because it must have been over 30 years ago... I can't remember too clearly anymore, but it may have been done differently by DMV back then...

Hi Somecowgirl It is nice to meet you it sounds like you have been busy. Try not to worry about your license I failed the first time too I think most people do and sometimes even twice, it is a good feeling to accomplish everything you have, it is also nice you are donating to the goodwill they always need stuff.
