What Part Does President Barack Obama Play in the Marching-Band that Is America?

Maybe he's the band-director (who watches the game from the 'press-box'---or whatever you call that booth/room at the top of the stands), who selects the music & 'show' (the field-patterns the band-members fulfill) and then trusts THE BAND-MEMBERS to follow the right way. Maybe he's the drum major, who stands just off the field & marks time where everyone can see him---but who can't change the music the director gives him. Oh, he can mark time faster or -slower or -'differently' (3 instead of 4, or 7 instead of 3), but the music depends on the band-members with the loudest noise-makers! Surely that's the timpani-drums in the 'pit' (between the drum major & the field) ... maybe the metal xylophone ... or the marching-snares, or the tubas, or the flutes, or the trumpets, or the trombones, or the french-horns, or the clarinets, or the saxophones. If America were a marching-band, President Barack Obama would JUST be the drum major. Maybe he WANTS to be the 'band-director' (as all we band-members suspect the drum major secretly wants to be), but the band-director (if America were a marching-band) would HAVE to be ... either the collective actions of all the American people or G*d Himself. What part do you think Obama plays?

I believe his vision, like many others is to basically change the US.

Making him play what part, the 'Orchestrator' (or the one who arranges the music and/or writes 'the show' (the patterns the band-members are to form out on the field))? If so (I might not agree that he should, but 'people we trust' think he knows what he should do better than we know what he should do), then he should have a plan written-down somewhere (so that he can stick to it). Where is his plan written-down?
