myLot wants us to express ourselves and when words fail emoticons come to our rescue. I try to use them correctly but I have always wondered what this is for? Have you used it and when? A is on the way.

I have not studied at an Emoticon school, so my response is not academic. I use it here for "hidden", to show that I read a comment or a response, and in Skype the same way I would use here (it does not exist in Skype).

Can't say I use emoticons but they certainly do look great and a good way of expressing yourself rather than words.

Ninja You wear black clothing and sneak around in the darkness. You may be hiding - you may be in the shadows - you may be holding secrets. I shouldn't tell you anymore

There was a popular commercial (for a special water-softening liquid) billyingram.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-ancient-chinese-secret-commercial.html that made the phrase "Ancient Chinese Secret, huh?" popular. I think of the ninja-emoticon as 'putting that sort of tone on the words' (like as if I'm telling you some not-commonly-known, interesting fact.)
