Defining 'Discussion' This Way

The dictionary meaning of the word 'Discussion' is,'the action or process of talking about something in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas.' Would it be right if I define a discussion as 'a platform from which an interaction is launched'?

I think that's a pretty accurate definition. Interaction is all important on this site and a 'discussion' (as an initial post is termed here) doesn't even begin to be a discussion until at least one person responds to it and can only properly be called one if the person who started it interacts with those who respond. Unfortunately, there are many people who are looking to earn from MyLot who fail to grasp this basic principle and wander off to complain that it's 'impossible to earn anything worthwhile' or (if they failed to keep to the simple Guidelines) that 'MyLot is a scam'.

Absolutely right. In Mylot interaction is inevitable if you want to earn. Those who join it unfortunately don't understand it.They go on starting discussions and hoping that they will earn. They don't realize that discussions set a stage for interaction that follows and this interaction helps them earn.I agree with you.

Yes,this is how I see a discussion.A stage or a platform from which an interaction follows.

I think many of us have never thought so much about the definition of words. Discussion and interaction do belong together, they are impossible online without each other.
