Suggestions

I've read on myLot where there are some people who don't like suggestions and others who love them. I'm sure there are also those who are on the fence with them right now.
As for myself, I love suggestions. It may change the longer I am on here but for now, they are a great tool to keep up with my followers/friends. For all of my followers/friends, please feel free to suggest your discussions to me.
Do you like suggestions?

I really don't pay attention to suggestions--I usually delete them--though I do send out my suggestions!! I really concentrate on people who comment on my posts and after I respond to them I will go to their pages read and comment on their latest post.

I've already discussed this topic, as far as people don't suggest to me ALL their discussions, it is fine for me :)
I try to read and answer to all of them, only fail if I don't have time.

I love getting suggestions and glad you have suggested this to me. I always try to read those first then on to others and if it is someone I have following me I will read it. This to me is the best way to make friends on here and then I will go on to others and see what they have to say.

I like suggestions. I come here if i need help with something and like all the suggestions i can get. Some people just take them to heart and that's why they don't like them i assume. Nothing wrong with helping others

i'm still on the fence in regards to such. when i first came they drove me batty, but in a few days i've gotten o'er such. i go through the list 'f folks i'm followin' to see if'n they've posted anythin' new i can toss my thoughts onto 'n sometimes with the suggestion thingy i find myself goin' to the same twice. jest aint 'nough hours in the day.

@crazyhorseladycx There really isn't enough time in the day. I am trying to find a better way to do it all but haven't come up with anything yet. It seems like I am always behind.

I don't feel enough people are using this suggestion because it doesn't seem like I receive that many each day. I wish more people would use suggestion. I know some people say someone or other can send out 10 or more at once, I only send 3 or 4 per day and hope they are of interest to you.

I have no opinion of suggestions. I don't usually look at them. I get busy trying to find new discussions under my followers and then if I do look at the suggestions, I have already seen most of them. but some may like them, and I don't mind if they are there.

I do not like the suggestions. I've used the feature once and I do feel as though it got me more responses to that discussion, and on really good discussions I may use it again, but when someone suggests a post to me I tend not to look and will just get to the post the same way I usually do.

I didn't like the suggetions at first, but now I do, as they give me more to respond to, which is good too, as I am not finding all that many discussions to respond to,and the suggestions, give me an opportunity to respond to discussions, that I would miss otherwise.

I have 40 of them at this point in time. I have written a post on it. I do not like suggestions. They clutter my page and that could be the reason for that timeout I get.

@simone10 I somehow feel the suggest box should be removed as we see those posts in 'people' and 'explore' anyway and if we want to respond to posts that have been written by our favourite connections those are available in their profiles under discussions.

I don't mind suggestions from people who interact with me on mine. For those who only suggest their OWN discussions and doesn't bother to interact with me (read mine), I have no desire to bother with theirs. I believe everything should be a 2 way street.

@spleendingo1 Yes, that's what it was but now that option is gone. I really miss it as it helped me keep up with the people I am following.

@simone10 Thanks yo! But I was not aware what a "suggestion" was here. After reading some comments I'm assuming it's when someone sends you one of their posts to read, like and/or comment on. I'm down for that!

I think I am a fence sitter on this one. The benefit is I am able to see my friend's posts, the downfall is, not only does it pile up since I can't get to them for days or weeks at a time, but what about my friends who create posts that don't suggest? Am I missing out on their's?

I usually forget about the suggestions, but I think it's a good idea in theory. We can't suggest our own posts anymore, right? So we just suggest posts we think others will enjoy?
