Don't skip those customer service surveys

A friend of mine works from home doing sales for a cruise line company. She told us roughly what she does and what amount she earns from each thing she does. After she helps people online a customer satisfaction survey is sent to their email. If the customer completes the survey she earns a little extra money. I always skip those surveys. Lately I have been making sure to take a few minutes to fill out these surveys to help those working from home earn a little extra.

I'll do them if they are online, I won't do them if you have to call them in.

That is nice that you at least take the time to do them online. Sometimes when I get done on the phone with a customer service call they ask me to stay on the line for a brief survey. I usually wouldn't complete them. I try to remember to do it more now that I know it helps them earn money.

I only normally do those emails if it's for a company I like or if I'm incredibly bored, didn't realise people get commission from them

I didn't realize people got commission for them either until my friend said something. Now my friends and I are all a little more aware of this and all agreed we would try to take the surveys when we have time from now on realizing it can help someone out.

I ignore those surveys unless there is something I can say of value. If it is I had a good time but can't add anything else. I skip them.

I pretty much always did the same thing. I didn't feel like wasting any time filling them out. I had no idea they could be valuable to others in terms of earning money from them. I used to pretty much only fill them out if I had a very bad experience. I wonder if they got a bad report on their survey if they would lose money. I will have to ask my friend.

I think most people ignore the customer survey. It's just another piece of mail. I am sure that filling them out sometimes helps someone in their job. It must be disheartening to think that people usually throw them away.

I rarely get anything like that in the postal mail. Most companies like to do everything via email to say money on postage. I am fine with that. Less junk mail to burn. Now that I know filling out these surveys can help people I have already filled out one from Norton yesterday which is why I thought about writing this post today.
