Why Do 'Independent Females' Still Call Themselves "Women"?

How to Tell Who's the Man

The meme pictured was posted with the comment, "I found this on the time-line of a friend, and as much as I appreciate the sentiment I hate this attempt at whitewashing the misogyny of the bible. For centuries the bible has been (and still is) used to degrade women, that can't be *interpreted* away. To me this is an insult to people's intelligence, at least towards those who've actually read the bible." I replied in another comment, "I see what you're saying, but I also see 'exactly what the meme means.' It's obviously not talking about 'every male' and 'every female,' but more like 'every adult who takes part-responsibility for the well-being of another adult.' Or something. "Maybe "woman" is a term that doesn't apply to 'independent females' (as its etymology & literal-meaning are (respectively) "/wif-man/" and "w/man")." This is another reason why I insist that the Bible is 'myth' (not 'true OR untrue,' but rather "a form of parable (teaching-story)"). Because (if 'man & woman' became re-defined as 'Guardian & Housekeeper' or 'Earner & Spouse-of-Earner') I would rather be the 'woman'---because I CAN'T fulfill the head-of-household responsibilities of the 'man'! So why don't the 'independent (or primary-income-earner) women' call THEMSELVES "men (who are female)" if they want equality with male men?

I don't see the difference between fe-male and wo-man. They both have the masculine word as their foundation. It's rather silly, really and I don't worry about what silly people worry about.

and if they call them selves men , will that change any thing? man is nothing if he is not doing his part , and i know something for sure not every make is a man , and there is many women who is better than lots of males ,,, when there is a complete system , where every one completes the other , thats a system humans did not create , and all creatures have the same ,,, but is it enough to just have independent income ? weather you are a man or women , you need the other part no matter what you do go have your independence ,,, be a man be a women ,,, call your self any thing you want ,,, you still need the other to be completed , and thats something inside us , we cant change ,,, yes we can corrupt with alternatives but we still have the feeling of the need for the other ,,, who ever you are , what ever your gender is ,,, the only difference between humans is ,, what they do and what they believe check this our . how the relation between men and women should be ... "O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should you treat them with harshness, that you may take away part of the dowry you have given them - except when they have become guilty of open lewdness. On the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If you take a dislike to them, it may be that you dislike something and Allah will bring about through it a great deal of good." [Noble Quran 4:19] "And for women are rights over men similar to those of men over women." [Noble Quran 2:228] "And among His signs is this, that He has created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility with them; and He has put love and mercy between you. Verily in that are signs for those who reflect." [Noble Quran 30:21] "O mankind! Reverence your Guardian-Lord, who created you from a single person, created, of like nature, his mate, and from this pair scattered (like seeds) countless men and women. Reverence Allah, through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and reverence the wombs (that bore you); for Allah ever watches over you." [Noble Quran 4:1] "For Muslim men and women, for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise, for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward." [Noble Quran 33:35] "Who so does that which is right, and believes, whether male or female, him or her will We quicken to happy life." [Noble Quran 16:97] "They (your wives) are your garment and you are a garment for them." [Noble Quran 2:187]

If what you call someone doesn't change what they are, then why are there 'words I can't use' to refer to some people?

Why should I call myself something I'm not just to make someone else happy?

If you don't have other problems, then you can't be too unhappy. Yours, Malu (a female woman)

I'm generally happy. But these females who whine about 'perceived inequality-with-males' try to make us feel sorry for them.
