Have you ever been set up on a date?

Before my husband and I got together a co-worker of mine tried setting me up. Well the guy she set me up with was truly not what I was looking for. Didn't even seem like he took care of himself, had any interest in dating anyone, and didn't know how to converse with a female. Made me wonder what my co-worker was even thinking!

I met my husband on a blind date and that was 50 years ago! That one worked out pretty well.

I once tried to set up a couple friends of mine because they were both bad at finding relationships and had very little experience with dating, so I thought they'd be good for each other. It didn't work out though.. probably due to the fact that she was only visiting from Canada, LOL.

I set up once while i first bought my phone, the sim card i bought which given me some free talk time and i used it to call random numbers. then i hooked up with a girl, her voice was nice.. We were talking like boyfriend girlfriend... so after calling a few days, i told her Lets Meet.. . i told her to come 12 30 pm, at the station road, i called her she told me where she standing and what she wearing and after seeing her.. i came to my house!! took a Cold Bath!! She was a woman nearly 40 or 45 years... and trust me that's the first time i talked with a girl in that way..You'll never know how i felt on that day... Horrible!! Terrible!!

Just yesterday someone suggested setting me up on a date with their friend. He is supposedly a very nice person, around my age and we have some mutual interests. But, he has a bad drinking problem. It all sounds good except the drinking problem. So, I am also wondering what my friend was thinking. In a situation such as yours (and mine), it's only reasonable to wonder what someone was thinking when they felt you would be compatible with that particular person. It's as if they don't know you well enough to fix you up with someone you would be interested in. It isn't just about having a body in your presence, but about compatibility and common interests - someone you can communicate and connect with.

That's a new kind of lame on part of your co-worker. I haven't been set up ever, I'm kind of the finding-guy-for-myself girl.
