You Better Fix Them, Lest I Will Throw Them to the Laundry Basket

This is what I told my husband when he woke up this morning , while I was putting on my make-up , getting ready for work . He was already out of the door when I told him that , because he forgot again to fix his blanket and pillows at his side of the bed ! So he came back and fixed them hastily , but not the way I taught him to . I fixed it well anyway, before leaving the room to eat breakfast with him . What is good with my husband is that he is considerate and obeys . Though not fully , because he doesn’t do them in the way I like it to appear, so I still have to do some finishing touches . But that’s okay , as long as he fixes his beddings . Does your partner fixes his own beddings after waking up ?

I do not even ask to him to fix his bedding, anyway I know that I have to fix it if I want to have the bed like I want.

But does he fix it sometimes before he leaves the room ? Or it is assumed that it will always be you .

@SIMPLYD Italian men fix nothing, because women are supposed to take care of everything around the house. It's not only my husband.

My husband does fix the bed as he wakes up because most time he is the last to get up. But when I am the one who gets up late, I do the fixing. We did not really talk about this, it is a natural thing for both of us.

Actually , i didn't tell my husband to be like this , but since we got married it seems like our nature to be like this already . Though , i taught him how we should fix our pillows and blankets .

My man does it once in a while and especially so with chores when I'm having my periods. He will take care of everything during that time and I will be relaxing during my off-days.

@SIMPLYD I am just fortunate that my in-laws instilled it on their son, my husband. My father-in-law does all the chores in his younger days when his wife is having her off days.

Isn';t it a nice feeling when our men understand us on our days when we don't feel well and automatically do what we should be doing but just can't at that moment .

We already broke up for 2 years but she use to be the one to fix the messy bed. Now I have a very messy bed and no one is fixing it but me. #single

Well, since you are just by yourself , no need of fixing it up because it's only you who will see it and are used to seeing it everyday as like that .

@delyaj30 I don't like to share my blanket so we use separate blankets . You see , men sometimes would just go to bed without washing their body . So you now , know why . That is also the case with our towels.

I guess so. We just pull the comforter cover up and that's it. There isn't a lot to do to make the bed neat.

We don't use comforter because our laundrywoman surely will have a hard time washing it . Besides , we have separate blankets . But if we are using comforter it would be so easy indeed . Just pull the comforter and cover the used beddings .

I have had no partner for about 15 years and to be honest I only make my bed if somebody is visiting as I want my bed to air.

I don't trust my husband to do anything around the house . lol.. Men have absolutely no idea. They may appear listening to instructions but they listen in one ear and out the other...

Generally they are like that . And if you tell them to do something , they do it your own way , so it won't appear that they are not the boss around the house .

@delyaj30 Married couples should be like that - helping each other in any way they can . At least you husband knows how to cook some dish . My husband can cook well . It's from him , i learned how to cook. But he hardly cooks now . I do the cooking during weekends only.

That's good to know . Mine isn't . So , from the start we have this mutual understanding that we will help each other by doing things which we know we should .

That's good . We have to be that way because we now work on the same building and our companies are owned by on owner . So we help each other not to be late for work .

@wiLLmaH He got the early retirement offer of the company he worked with for 28 years i think . He went into some small business but didn't succeed so i told him to work again . Fortunately , there is an opening in our affiliate where my boss is also the GM there . So now , we go to work together .

I think it's a matter of having an understanding and consideration of the situation , since in our case i always have to hurry so as not to be late to work.

@simone10 If that is the case indeed , it will be mutually agreed that the last one will do the bed.

Yes, that is right . But this time , we know that it is what is right because we both will be going to work so he should do his part of fixing his part of the bed .

That's the problem with men fixing things. You often have to re-fix it after.

That is true . That's because they are not used to fixing these things .
